Shawn is great and a pleasure to work with. He did a terrific job repairing several areas of damaged drywall in my home and then painting the walls where the damage was. I am very pleased with the quality of his work and found him to be personable, conscientious, honest, and committed to doing the job well. He is always on time but if delayed will call or text to let you know. He also does a good job cleaning up after a project is finished. Shawn was fantastic! We had a tough job from a roof leak. On cathedral ceilings very high up, multiple walls, and corners. The painting turned out great, it's like nothing ever happened to it. And I can't get over how well he was able to repair a huge corner of sheetrock where the walls meet. It took lots of repair work, but it looks perfect. We never thought it would be able to be fixed this well. Can't rave about it enough. We'll be recommending him to everyone.

Water damage in several areas. We are still in the middle of this project but so far, attentive to detail and very personable. Also contracted with him to do exterior of house.

I should have been weary when Shawn came to my house with no paper or measuring tape and walked around and just quoted $8K for the work. I said no, too high and then he called me back a few days later and said "you seem so nice and I want to help you so I'll do it for $6500". I was eager to get the work completed so I agreed. This is a second home and we're not here much so I gave them access to the house, complete flexibility to take their time over several weeks. I paid him on-time , up to $5500 and giving them the benefit of the doubt that not all the coats were completed and there were parts of the job that were missed. He then sent a text asking for the last payment of $750 and when I said sorry, no , I'd like to wait until everything is complete before paying you, he then insults me over text message, said I was rude, trouble from the start and I wouldn't make friends up there - just mean and hurtful over text, who does that? When I saw it I was shocked and immediately called but unfortunately, he wouldn't pick up, even after several attempts- so unprofessional! He then said he wouldn't come back to finish until I had a check . We decided since he wouldn't return calls, we didn't want him back in our home. I sent a check for the work completed (more than he deserved) and then he had the audacity to threaten to take me to court - unbelievable. Doesn't matter what the quality of work is, there's no excuse for treating people badly.

Shawn and his crew were very professional. Finished job ahead of time and under budget. I would definitely hire again.

Shawn from Lakes Region Painting Co. was absolutely the easiest contractor that I have ever had dealings with. He was honest, thorough and a very hard worker. I especially appreciated his willingness to work with us in fixing some of our "Do it yourself" disasters. He helped us with trim work, caulking, door framing, and even gave us a great referral for a carpenter to do an even larger job.
