My husband and I hired Total Detail Cleaning to clean our home after having some poor experiences with other cleaning companies. We couldn t have been happier with their service. We have them clean once a week and our home hasn t ever been cleaner. They don t just clean around things like our previous cleaners. They move everything and clean under and behind. They have exceeded our expectations!

Brendan was the GC for our remodel/addition guest house. He came on time and under budget! His tile work in the bathroom was beautiful! All quality work. He, his crew and subs were all a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him for your next build!

Be sure to do your research! If you can afford to hire Brendan as your General contractor to manage your project, it may go ok. Nice guy but I didn't feel the customer satisfaction that he promotes. If you have a tight budget and need to be your own GC, he may not be the best option unless you have experience and can be on site everyday to watch and direct. We hired Brendan and his crew to help with building our log home. Brendan was very confident at the beginning to work with our log home kit and plan. When it came time to be on site, Brendan was no longer a part of our project and he had set us up with a Foreman to manage our project with one other guy. His staffing was tight so what we expected from our contract of 4-5 guys for approx 6-8 weeks became 2 guys for about 10-12 weeks. They charge by the hour and after all was done, I was told that it didn't matter how many guys come each day/week, the same number of hours got used. This was a new construction and in the winter. The guys said they were prepared for the weather as they work year round and do what they have to do. However these guys did their best but trying to rush and weather, mistakes were made. They will come back and fix some things. However be prepared there are times you will be charged a second time to fix something that wasn't done right. One example I will share is they installed four 2x4?s nailed together for a beam when the actual beam was on floor in same room. I asked for this to be replaced with actual beam that should have been installed the first time. We were charged a second time for them to fix and switch this out. Another poor experience is our stairs. The wall in living room was built too far out from what our plan showed. This resulted in our stairs going to our loft being to wide and treads from kit would not fit. It also means extra materials were needed to add an additional stringer, longer risers, etc. I explained this issue, now a second time when we were starting to finish stairs to Brendan as we brought this to his attention when stairs were first built and he said it must of just been an after thought. Brendan didn?t want to have his guys coming back to move any walls or stairs so he agreed to switch out longer treads for the shorter ones and would have Dustin put them on. Dustin brought longer treads and took the shorter ones and said he would come back to help Greg install as this was their fault. Dustin offered to do this on his own time because he felt they should be done and understood the troubles we were facing. He didn?t make it out so I asked Brendan if he could send a couple guys to help us build stairs based on all the issues with location of wall. We were fine not having to remove wall and rebuild as it would also effect stairs to loft but hoped we?d get help with stairs. After several attempts to reach Brendan and Dustin, I sent an email and Brendan broke down to respond. Final result of email is no help and Brendan pushed back on my inexperience in being our own GC with a tight budget and if I had hired him then it all would have been done right. Long story short, nice guys but be sure to do your research! If you can afford Brendan to do it all, you may have better luck then we did. I put my trust someplace it wasn?t meant to be.
Response from

"Sue, We thank you for the review, we appreciate all feedback as we are always pushing to adapt and improve for the benefit of our customers. We are surprised that we did not meet your expectations, customer satisfaction is the corner stone of our business and you are the first customer who has expressed discontent. You are correct that if someone is going to GC their own project, they need experience and understanding of the process and their role in making sure things progress as they deem necessary. I felt we had a good working relationship and although I wasn?t hired as the GC for your job, I did my best at helping you keep your project on task. Given the delays from your material supplier and bad weather, sending more men would have been counterproductive. My team focused on what needed to be done and what could be done given the tight budget. I do not double charge for work that results from our own mistakes. The 4 pak post that we initially installed was approved by you, as my team pointed out that the two longer cedar posts on site were supplied for the front porch roof system. Ultimately, we cut one of these timbers to replace the 4pak post at your request. Yes, you were charged for the time we spent on both post installations as they were decisions that you had made. The wall in the living room was built as per your timber company?s plan, which called for following a point load established in the basement, and carried through to the first floor, and loft levels. Furthermore, the wall that we built was flush with the header beam on the loft level. Even though we believe your timber company should have been responsible for the supplying the longer treads, we did so as we wanted to help. I must defend my guys and vouch for their carpentry abilities, their work ethic and their personal integrity in the event that any readers were to think otherwise based on this review. We do wish you the best and many healthy and happy years in your home. -Brendan, Owner of Carrier Building & Development"
