Absolutely fantastic movers! Professional, hard-working, respectful, courteous, conscientious, and patient. I would highly recommend. I also appreciated their low-cost and fixed rate moving fee; not an hourly fee that is subject to change. My crew worked tirelessly for nearly 15 hours, until nearly 11:00 at night. They would not leave until the job was done. They even disassembled and reassembled furniture and other items. In addition, they did all this in below freezing winter temperatures!

they didn't follow the instructions on the contract, the contract clearly stated 2 separate units, one for the household items, and one for outdoor, basement and trash items to keep my belongings from being soiled, not only did they pack it all together, they put dirty basement stuff all over my indoor stuff, damaged a bunch of stuff, after telling me that insurance covers face value of items minus deductible, jay told me he would give me 60 cents per pound, what criminal values things by the pound? I also paid for 2 trucks, got one, they packed all the hanging items into 2 boxes all crumpled when I paid for 4 hanging boxes, the crew took stuff from my trash pile for personal use and packed it with all my clean stuff, then he turns around and blames me because I left for 20 minutes to bring the contents of my fridge to the next town over, I have witnesses and I will see jay in court. The unprofessional behavior and lies have made this personal and my health is declining.

Jay and his team (Dan, Jimmy, J, Eduardo) were absolutely amazing! From the initial inquiry, a home visit by Jay to review items to be moved, loading and unloading - all the steps - Jay and his team responded to all my emails/calls and to any questions. I had to make some changes to the inventory to be moved and I didn’t have any issues. The team disassembled and reassembled necessary items. All my items were taken care of and were delivered in the same condition they were picked up. Highly recommended First-Rate without any hesitation!

Jay (owner) and his team were able to accommodate moving some last minute furniture pieces for my grandmother from NH to FL, within one week of request. They were fast, professional and all furniture arrived professionally wrapped and intact (some older pieces). Best part was they were more than reasonably priced - will absolutely hire again in the future!

Great experience with this company. Price quote was received from owner promptly, and came in at a good price. Delivery was scheduled and the two movers showed up promptly at 8am. They did a great job wrapping the piano, removing it from my father's home and delivering it to my home. Movers were friendly and courteous. I would certainly hire First-Rate Moving again if I needed a mover.

A 3 man crew showed up at 9:00 to move a 2500 sqft home with unavoidable stairways everywhere, they never batted an eye and dug into the job with smiles and humor. These 3 guys worked like a machine. NO ONE likes to move, so if you’re planning a move in the future you need to HIRE this company and you will NOT be disappointed !!! A+++ THANK YOU ALL !!!!

First-Rate Moving company was right on time and did a great job of carefully wrapping, loading and unloading our belongings. Prior to our moving date we needed to change our moving date a couple of times, Jay was extremely accommodating and worked with us finalizing a moving date. My wife and I would definitely use First-Rate Moving again and we would recommend them to any of our friends. Jays crew was polite friendly and very professional. No problems and a very smooth move. The move went overall pretty well. Our old house was tight with low ceilings and narrow halls (built in 1800s) so it was a tough job. The movers were polite and hardworking. A couple of issues popped up but they were addressed immediately and resolved with no hassle. Jay the owner is a great guy with fantastic accountability and I would absolutely use his team again!
