Bill Johnson Painting

After starting to correct the poor quality of work i called Bill who promptly came the next morning with his crew to fix a lot of the poor quality painting. After they left the 2nd time, still missing many of the issues i had ( paint on trim, missed spots, and wood that wasnt stained) pointed out, so I just decided to do the work myself. To quote, "professionals do not use tape". Even when staining wood trim right over flooring??? This resulted in me having to touch up grout that was stained oak. Not what i feel i should have to do when hiring a professional painting company. I would NOT recommend for interior work. Based on the A reviews, i assume those are for exterior painting which requires less care.

Bill and his crew did an awesome job! His pricing was very reasonable, they worked fast and with great quality! I would use a Bill again in a heartbeat!

     Bill Johnson went above and beyond my expectations. First, he was very personable and he had a " yes I can" attitude.  We had water stains on two of our ceilings and his people covered the stains and then painted the ceilings.  Both ceilings were cathedral.   They also painted two large rooms to perfection.   Bill also filled and painted a large hole in  one wall where we had removed an air conditioner.  Mark, his excellent framer also removed and replaced outside wood siding and then Bill's guys stained the repairs.

Bill's crew was prompt in getting started when they said they would. All the painters were very professional and thorough in the work that they did. Their attention to detail and to doing an outstanding job was integral to each of the painters on the job. I have used Bill before paint my house and was please with the work then and was definitely pleased with the most recent work. I would highly recommend Bill Johnson Painting to anyone looking for an excellent job.

Bill was easy to work with.  We will have him do some interior painting.  He was prompt and did what he said he would do.  He told me it would be about 3 weeks to get to my house, but the house was washed within a week of when I told him to go ahead and the replacement clapboard and facia board arrived ready for when his carpenters arrived a couple days later.  He called me to arrange for his painting crew's arrival so I could be home.  They arrived (a crew of six) Thursday morning and began scrapping and shortly afterwards Bill came with the paint.  By noon on Thursday it began to thunder and the sky turned dark, so Bill shut down the job.  After the crew left the sun came back!  But we got heavy rain that evening.  The crew came back on Saturday and finished the work.  His crew removed all the down-spouts and replaced them when they had finished painting behind their positions.  I don't know whether it was a happy accident or not, but the exterior repairs and paint job were completed before the 3 weeks Bill originally told me they could start the job.  His painting crew was efficient and pleasant to be around.  They made liberal use of drop-cloths and cleaned up after themselves and bagged their trash.  A few days later Bill came by for his check and removed the left-over boards and the trash.  I would reccomend him to any of my friends who need their house painted.

We got a few quotes for the work and initially hired another contractor whom we had used before for some interior painting at our old house. Bad bad bad decision to say the least. We let that contractor go and called some of the other contractors to bid again.
Bill's quote was right in the ball park. (We also got a crazy bid that was double that of everyone else's from another contractor.) We chose Bill and are so glad we did. His crew re-power washed the house to remove the mildew and then stained the exterior by hand. They replaced some rotted wood and sanded our front deck, then stained that.
We have a 3200 sqft home and a small shed. The work was done in 2 days! Powerwashing and all. The weather was ideal, dry and sunny so everything dried quickly.
Bill's crew of six showed up on time both days. My husband was home and could see them working and was very impressed, which is unusual for him. lol. The crew foreman was very pleasant to work with. Bill came on site to check out the progress. The quality of the work is fantastic. We just stand and look at our house. From the street, the place looks well-kept and tidy.
We will definitely use them again. Bill is a very easy going guy who has a loyal crew, which speaks well for him I think.

Contacted Bill via email and received a response within a day or so. Not immediate response via electronic measures but he does respond within 24 hours. Gave me a rough quote and I asked him to do the work. He gave me a tentative date of about a week out. Week came and went and I didn't hear anything. Realizing this is an "indoor" job during the prime "outdoor" time in NH I wasn't too set back. Contacted him again and explained that I needed the room done before new furniture was delivered and this time he setup a firm day. Told me he would be there at 8AM and all he needed was paint information. I provided the color via email. He and his helper arrived slightly early around 7:50AM and went right to work. Put drop clothes in hallway leading to room and entrance to the house to prevent any "stray" paint as they went in/out. Worked stayed and painted room and even touched up a few spots on the baseboards. Finished in about 3 hours.
Room looks great. No issues at all. Cost was exactly as quoted.
Will use Bill again.

They were very good and the experience was very good. He was open to my wife's ideas and he helped her with the different colors and shades in the rooms. We had a problem with the paint on the sheetrock of a wall and he came back and redid that wall without any problems. He didn't charge us for that. The price was comparable to other contractors. It was a good price. We could have gotten somebody cheaper but we don’t know how the work would have turned out.

Estimate for job was the final figure not a penny more, paint job completed in a timely manner and very happy with results.

We hired Bill to paint the downstairs level of our house. The biggest part of the job was to paint all of the wood wainscoating in our dining room and the corresponding trim white. We were nervous about how it would come out and it looks great!
Overall, we were pleased. I was concerned about some of the patchwork and finishings that his painters did at first, but when I showed my concerns to Bill, he had his team back the next day to finish the job. I appreciated his response.

It was an excellent experience. They're friendly and flexible.I didn't do a comparison on the price because I've had them do work for me before. I think their price was fair.

From the first appointment, when he arrived exactly on time, through to the last detail, Bill and his team were fantastic. They were punctual and cleaned up the work site every day. The repairs they did on the house were done very professionally. The house looks beautiful!
