Heating and Air Conditioning Service
Installed flexible duct for home heating and air conditioning.
Met with him and explained errors that he made.
He was gruff and disagreed with every issue that I bought up.
1.) Flexible duct was installed before the 2 zone dampers, making the system by definition not a 2 zone system, because no matter
which zone was operated air flow would pass through the 2 misplaced duct into the home in 2 rooms.
2.) Flexible duct was bent in many areas which restricts air flow to the rooms in the home.
3.) Performed test of the system himself and it passed! Of course it would pass, no independent test was done.
4.) Supply and return duct was covered with the improper R-Value reflexive bubble wrap insulation.
5.) Splices of duct work were done with different size duct
6.) A return duct was installed as a supply duct.
7.) Holes in flexible duct work
8.) flexible duct that needed to bend around a corner was bent less than 90 degrees restricting air flow to rooms in home
9.) flexible duct and insulation was forced into smaller areas and around existing pipes electrical work further restricting air flow
10.) Hired a professional HVAC person and received a report listing all of these items.
11.) Contractor said he cold get his own inspector to approve everything and that the HVAC person I hired "LIED"
12.) Was back after these issues were reported and attempts were made to 'hide' and patch things up after 4 or 5 subsequent visits. Attempted to resolve some of the issues but even the fixes were sloppy.
