Scott C.
Oct 2013
They started work in May of 2013. They came and preformed work that was more than sub standard. They tried to build a new deck and then came back three times to fix it and it just kept getting worse with every attempt to fix it. They put all new doors in the house and none of them are straight. This they came and tried to fix three times also. they also put new tile in the bathroom and the grout is already chipping out. I had another contractor look at the work and he just laughed at it and asked if" this guy ever built any thing before" He installed a picture window in the living room and that is not installed correctly and he did not even insulate under it. They installed an attic pull down ladder and it doesn't open correctly the stairs do not open all the way as they should. As we were getting more and more concerned with his work, he would tell us he could fix it. He should change the name of his company to that as that is what you will hear from him constantly. Then he started not returning our calls and we kept calling because we were to move into the house on July 1 2013. He finally called and said" don't worry everything is fine." We told him that the floors were not refinished yet and we need to move on the 1st. He had a floor company that he worked with come out and they made a huge mess of the floor. When my wife and I saw them we told him " no way was the floor staying that way" He ended up getting another company to come and fix them after he told us he had to go to Boston to find this new company. When they showed up we asked them how they knew Brendan and his company the owner said he didn't know him and that Brendan found him working at an open house in the area and begged him to come fix the floors. Just one of many lies Brendan told over the months. The floors were finished and they came out great thanks to the new company. But we had to pay the movers to put all of our stuff in the garage because the floors were not dry at the time of the move. As we are getting closer to the dead line to get the work done I was forced to fire Brendan and his company. He then told us that if we didn't pay him the final installment he would put a lien on the property and the bank said all the work still needed to be complete by the dead line and if there was a lien in place then we would have to pay for the remainder of the work out of our pocket. We ended up having to pay him 11K on top of the 14K he was paid just to get rid of him. Now we have to take him to court and sue for the money back on repairs to the things he messed up.
