Auto Service
Made appointment for gift certificate oil change. All was friendly til I showed gift card. Go out into rain for registration so we can log you in to our system. Told them reg was on passenger seat and could they log me when they bring in the car. No, we can't. Went out into rain. Please sit and wait til we call you in 30 min. 1.5 hours later Svc guy comes out to say since car was up on lift etc. found that belts were ready to give out, interior and engine air filters needed replacement & plug wires need replacement. How much we ask? $200! Wow, we say. Will get back to you. OK! Car will be right out...another 30 min. Two hours for an oil change with an appointment! Get home and look at belt..only one belt (ala Ford serpentine). Flashlight shows a very good looking belt. Allen screws for the engine cover (need to take off to see air filter) were filled with dirt and no evidence of disturbance. Short story: never took off the cover to see air filter. Best part: 04 Altima has no plug wires to relace. Be very careful with these guys!
