This is a dishonest and corrupt businessman. Stay away from this arborist. He is corrupt! Hoag is unprofessional. He never talked to us about falling limbs around our home. Hoag went in to corruption with the management board, but told us his “major concern” was falling limbs and falling stems. This man is dishonest. Stay away!

Besides doing the required work, Pete (certified arborist) spent a good amount of time explaining why I should trim the oaks, not take them down. He also provided a little consulting and some resource information on trees. My property and driveway were undamaged and his crew did a good job cleaning up. He and his crew were friendly and came across as honest. Tree work is hazardous, so it isn't cheap. Pete wasn't the least expensive tree service out there, but his overall value makes me want to use him for any tree work I need done in the future.

Pete is a very nice guy, very punctual and did the job as promised. My one issue is that after we agreed on a price with a written letter of agreement, he let me know he had gone "over budget" by $850. He suggested I could pay that amount or half if I wanted to. I paid the amount as agreed upon, particularly since there were 3 trees in back that were supposed to be cut that were left standing.

The service was excellent. We have used him previously and he is very good.

Working with matthew was a great pleasure. I found him to be very professional and he did an excellent job keeping me up to date with latest weather expectations and how it may impact our scheduled date. The p.c. Hoag team came in when they said they would and did an excellent job and cleaned the job site as if they were never there. Great job and I appreciated the winter discounted rate.

They are very good.

They were knowledgeable and informative. They explained what they were doing and why and even helped so that we could do some of our own pruning in the future.

The price I don't really know; if its not something you buy frequently, you don't really know if the pricing is fair or not.

We have Peter assess the trees and shrubs annually and perform any required maintenance or treatments to prevent disease or damage.  He always does a first class job.
