UNIVERSAL FLOORING

I hired them in the Fall of 2015. The owner came to measure 1 square room + 2 hallways. It was 55 sf more than his original estimate of 372 sf based on actual size 352 sf. He would not explain the increase. I wish my room was 55 sf larger. 10 days passed without hearing from them so I called. They received the carpet and set the installation day a week later at 8:30am. They changed my appointment 3 times. Finally they showed up at 3pm a month later. They argued for 20 minutes in a different language, then claimed to get the carpet. The installation started at 4:30pm (one man installed and 2nd man only did cleaning). By 8:30 the work was not done because there was a mistake. The old carpet with different color was exposed from the bedroom door. The installer complained he should be resting at home an hour ago. He could not make the correction the same night. They came back at 5:30pm next day without the padding (not sure he had it in his truck). It took another hour to correct the error by using the new carpet as padding. It was not right. When I checked on his work he turned hostile to intimidate. It took 6 ½ hours over 2 days, not 3 hours as owner said to install an empty room. No explanation from the installer why he did not replace the tack strip underneath. It?s all trial and error and a lack of technique. It caused lots of headache. The carpet and pad were not as good as the store across the street. Next time I will go there instead.
