The vendor was very responsive regarding scheduling and communicated well. He showed up late (but took the time to call indicating that he would be). He was dressed in a suit and tie and only carried a clipboard and a pen (no tools). I thought maybe they had accidentally sent a salesman instead of a tech. He spent about 10 minutes following the PVC piping and looked at the vacuum gauge mounted on the unit and told me everything was working as it should. After he left I reviewed the radon detector findings and they were showing a higher level on the first floor than the basement. I then called the office and explained my concerns and questioned why he didn't actually test the system or examine the PVC exhaust on the outside of the house. We had a long conversation about my concerns which he made no effort to try to address (to make me feel any better about the "inspection"). He only stated that he drove to the home and looked at the system and should be paid for it. I really feel that any other company would have been more upfront about what the inspection entailed (especially when they were the ones that installed the system). When I made the call to schedule the service i explained that I had verified the vacuum readings and looked at the PVC piping and didn't see any issues. It just seems a little shady to agree to perform the inspection (and not do anything different than I already did) and then have the gall to charge me for it.

New England Radon showed up on the date and time we agreed to.  I was unable to be onsite while the work was being performed and instructed them to call me with any questions.  They only contacted me once to let me know the location they were planning on installing the system.  I advised them there was already had a pipe within the foundation and after finding it they decided to use it (messy basement, my fault).  Once the work was completed (3-4 hours) they left an informational packet with all warranty information and a radon testing kit.  Work was performed very well and we have no complaints.  Will definitely use again!
