They are excellent. I like it because rather than just showing up, they often walk you through the property to show you what is going on.

Would give these guys an A+. Cutting the 60ft pine tree down was a major project given where it was situated on the property. The team of guys did a great job orchestrating the entire project and cleaned up everything before they left. They got the job done in under the estimated time.

The two guys who cut down my trees were obviously highly skilled. The oak was right next to my front concrete walk and on the other side was my brand new well house. Barely ten feet away was all the power and communication lines to my house and the only damage was a very small scratch on the well house which I easily repaired. I was impressed. If you need a tree cut you should hire these guys.

The quote was fair and professional. The workers came at 8am and stayed until 6pm and worked really hard and did a great job. The communication was not perfect--we had to follow up a bit after the quote and also follow up on the removal of the trees. Other than that, I thought the price was reasonable and they worked very hard. Also, they didn't go above the quoted price.

Urban Tree Service did an excellent job. They were there right on time, worked hard both days and did the job right. The hedges and trees looked great and they cleaned up all the mess created before leaving. couldn't have asked for better service.

We had used Urban Tree Service in the past to remove four very large trees on our property. I contacted them to remove some shrubbery that was out of control. At first I thought that this might not be a big enough job for them. They came to our house looked at what I was asking for, said they could do it and gave me an estimate on the spot. One crew was out within a few days and removed everything. This was followed up a few days later when a crew member  came back to grind all the stumps that remained. They are an excellent company and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others as well as having them back in the future.

They did a very nice job. We asked them to leave the main tree logs, which they did, and they mulched all the brush and branches.  They also pruned and trimmed up two large trees in our front yard. We will definitely have them come back again.

We installed an above ground pool in September and needed to have some trees taken down so the pool would receive sunlight in the summer months. I had the job quoted from a few local companies and Urban Tree Service has the best price for the work.

The 2 young men that arrived to do the work were very courteous and introduced themselves to my wife and I and we walked the back yard to insure we were both on the same page as to what work was quoted and needed to be completed. I added one additional tree to the scope of work late in the day and they gladly took down the tree for an additional fee without any issues. All of the tree limbs were chipped and the chips were placed in a truck and hauled away. I asked them to leave any wood over 8 inches in diameter so we could use this wood for our fire pit and these limbs were left behind. The larger sections of trees were hauled away.

Someone came to our house about 10 days after the trees were taken down to grind the 2 stumps. The stumps were completely removed and the chips were placed into the holes.

Overall a very good experience. I would definitely recommend Urban Tree Service and use them in the future if we needed any additional trees removed from our property.

I emailed the company and they got back to me within a few hours and set up an appointment for an estimate. Ed was right on time and gave me the estimate and gave me it in writing along with what would be done. The following week, I was contacted with the day they would do the service. I was very pleased with their work. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends. The estimate was exactly what I was charged.

The crew was scheduled to arrive at 8:30 AM and they arrived a short time prior to that. All three introduced themselves, evaluated the trees that were going to be taken down and immediately got to work setting up their equipment and cutting limbs. The two very large maples were located between my house, the main power lines going down the street and the power line running across my driveway to the house. The skill with which they brought down the limbs and then moved the large pieces on to their truck showed they had done this many times before. Fascinating to watch. The crew did clean up the yard prior to their leaving, but given that the weight of any very heavy vehicle will leave depressions and the fact that wood chips are going to blow and scatter across the property they do have limitations as to how much clean up can truly be done. I was fine with the state of my yard when they left. They were a professional, efficient crew and I would gladly have them back to do more tree work for me when it might be needed in the future.

First off, let me say that this is a very good company to deal with and whom we have had work done in the past and with excellent results. Not sure what happened this time. The work was scheduled to be performed and completed on 6/27/14. One of the trees proved to be quite a challenge and the work was not completed as indicated, and they would have to return another day to finish. Totally understandable, not a huge problem. However, the manner that our yard was left in after day 1 was unacceptable. Deep ruts were left in the yard where they had dragged large limbs across, garden was trampled by debris that was dragged across it and garden ornaments literally tossed aside and never put back at the end of the day. Large cut-up logs were from this first difficult tree were left and not removed. Second tree and limbs were trimmed on or about 7/1, and we received a bill for the work shortly afterwards. However, work site was never cleaned up as stipulated in the estimate! The logs from the first tree were still NOT removed after they had finished the second tree and trimming of limbs. Several calls/phone messages were left over the next several days asking when the logs were going to be removed. I finally received a phone call from the Sales Mgr on 7/11 who assured me that the logs would be removed Saturday, 7/12. They were not! We told the company that we were NOT going to pay the bill until the logs were removed. Finally, the logs were removed on Friday afternoon, 7/19....THREE WEEKS after the tree was cut down!

Although the work that was done to remove the trees and limbs resulted in a much more open and improved yard, we were very disappointed with the company's lack of follow-up and professionalism. We hope that this one difficult job was just an aberration and not at all indicative of this company's character. We would like to consider using them again in the future, without the issues that we had deal with here.

Their proposal was the least expensive of five estimates we received, but the service was exceptional. They extended a bucket loader over our garage, to reach the tree, but it wasn't quite long enough. After discussing possibilities including bringing climbers in, they decided to cut the tree from the bucket with a hand saw on a long extension. It was obviously difficult, but they topped the tree and removed limbs in this manner. Then they fastened ropes to the upper part; expertly notched the bottom; and felled the tree in our small crowded back yard. Very resourceful and professional. Another person came the next day with a stump grinder, and ground the stump into mulch. On both days, they completely cleaned up after the work. All we had to do was spread the mulch where we wanted it, add some dirt to the hole, and plant some grass seed. That birch had become dangerous due to insect infestation. Good to have it gone.
