Relied on Angie's List and BBB rating in selecting this business. Due to the structural repairs needed on the barn, we looked for a roofer/contractor. Entire job/quoted proposal included main house, guest house, barn and garage roof repair. Proposal from New England Roofing was received on 6/5/2015 and we agreed to do job in 2 phases. 1/2 of barn and garage to be done in 2015 with remainder of job to be done in 2016. Late getting started 9/14/2015 after requested walk through was declined by owner and then done in order to calculate amount of wood needed for barn repair. Delay in starting work was exacerbated by waiting for wood to dry before work could begin. 1/2 of barn repaired and roofed; garage roofed in about a week. Good quality of work done on 1/2 barn and garage and late start was a non-issue. Refacing of window frames above garage roof not done according to requested specifications but better than they were non the less. Paid in full for phase 1 after adjustment made in bill for supplies unused $16, 320.00 November 2015. Remainder of work was placed on the schedule to be completed in 2016. Reached out to owner on 6/28/2016 to inquire about starting phase 2 and was told to call office to schedule appt. Called office and scheduled appt. for 6/30/2015 @ 4pm. Received voicemail later that afternoon advising owner was too busy and we lived too far away to finish the job. We were advised to check references when looking for a new roofer. Disappointing outcome and unexpected from a business listed on Angie's List and A+ rating with the BBB. Unfortunately we are left hanging with a project unfinished and dismal outcome anticipated in searching for someone who can do the work very late in the season.

It went great!  They did a great job!  They cleaned up all of the mess that they made.  It was cleaner after than before they started.

They could have been more prompt but I am satisfied with them. They were late by a couple of weeks and they quality seemed to be ok.

My husband and I worked with Scott Brochu and his team at New England Roofing beginning in April 2013 to plan a new roof for our home and storage shed. Almost a year later, we are so pleased with the results.
Scott and his office team spent time with us answering our questions about roofing materials and worked with us to obtain samples of both color and styles. Scott has an amazing eye for color and we tried something similar to what we have and a few new ones; in the end we took Scott's suggested color and are very pleased with it and the architectural shingles we decided on. Since this was the first new roof we had put on, we took our time researching and asking questions. They were very patient and professional with us. We found his estimate complete and any additional work was discussed and priced in advance.
When the big day came, they welcomed us to stay around, take photos, etc. The roofers were all courteous and professional. The 11-person crew had most of the old roof off and new one on in one day! They were very careful to cover the house with plastic drop cloths and had a system for retrieving the old shingles. Each day they left our place swept clean. They treated our home as if it were their own. They took care to complete all the work to the specifications of the shingle type we ordered.
After the roof was completed on our shed, we didn't like bright white color of the rain diverter bar against the roof. I called the office and there was no problem; he sent over a couple workers the next day and they painted it. I was there when they came, and again the staff were courteous and helpful, careful to clean up afterwards.
Scott Brochu's New England Roofing made putting on a new roof worth it all. A roof is one of the most costly repairs a homeowner makes and Scott knows that; he wants you to be pleased and works hard to make that happen. All our warranties came through within 2 weeks of our final payment. Our new roof has seen driving rain, wind, snow, and ice and it is perfect.

NE Roofing was recommended by a professional contact, and from the start I was impressed with Scott's approach. Since he warantees his work in addition to the manufacturer's shingle warantee, he was very thorough in pointing out areas of concern that would need to be corrected during the work. That attention to detail is what convinced me that he was the right contractor. His crew arrived on time as planned and worked quickly in a very deliberate and efficient way. Some of the work called for resheathing a roof on one of the buildings, yet they completed the work in 2 1/2 days. The last hour of the final day was spent by the crew scouring the grounds any errant nails, pieces of shingles, etc. In short: they were thorough, detailed, efficient and a very good value for the price.

We weren't home when they came to do the job. As far as we can tell, it was completed in one day! My husband went up onto the new roof and was very happy with the work that was done, and he has construction experience so he knew what to look for. We did think it could have been done for a little less money, but all in all we are very satisfied with the work and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

I had ice damage this winter to the back part of my house. My house was built with no overhang in the back. The roof literally ended into the back wall. So instead of ripping the whole back part of my roof out and reframing it, Scott suggested a metal roof. They were able to install a metal roof on top of the shingles, extend the metal so now I have an overhang, and install ice dam breakers over where my sliding door was.
All the work took one day and looks very good. The guys worked hard and were very professional. Their cost was better than most places that I had quote me...I actually had one company quote me $7000 for the same exact work.
When I decide to replace the rest of my roof or have any issues in the future, I will use New England Roofing.

Scott and his crew from New England Roofing showed up right on the agreed time and took off the old roof. This was done in a very timely and super neat manner. The crew then did a bit of carpenty followed by ual installing the new roof. It is a difficult home with many different pitches and ornimental ceder shingles. They came out below the quote given and simply did a wonderful job. Hiring New England Roofing was my best home improvement decision I ever made. We are very very happy with them and the job completed.
