I want to first say that i am not the type of person who often writes reviews, guilty to say even for good experiences. I could not do that for this experience i had with Kacena Site Work. This summer (2023) I unfortunately had my septic system fail. If you were like me and instantly hit Google looking for "the best septic system install near me" and began reading reviews. I will literally save you multiple hours searching and multiple call backs for quotes. I have a family of 5 and to be without the use of the bathrooms and laundry would have been borderline a post apocalyptic scene. I submitted requests on a few of the companies that came up as well as Angi. Darryl was the first who called me, also in less than an hour from submitting a quote request. He came over that night after working another job to take a look and then go over the process. I would run out of space writing about everything throughout this process from start to finish so I will basically hit what it is important, at least what was to me. Darryl was beyond transparent with his pricing, the price he quoted was the price. Regardless of what happened there would be no "unexpected price increases for complications etc". He was sympathetic to the impact to my family with this crappy situation and though he had other active jobs, made mine a priority as well. He made the entire process stress free and overly communicated every step, dates and times when the engineer was coming, equipment arriving, materials being delivered, hours and days of work to be accomplished, inspections and was accommodating to any conflicts on our end during that time line. His work was beyond top notch and fast. My neighbors came down after it was completed and wanted to know who I hired because they couldn't believe how quick that was done from when they saw a giant mound of dirt and a hole in my yard, to hydoseed being sprayed. I cannot express how unbelievably happy with deciding to use Kacena Site Work. My only experience was for a septic replacement, but he obviously does a lot more. I will not ever consider using anyone else for any outside site work other than Darryl and I have only been recommending him to friends and family. If you need work done that is within his scope, you will not get a better product, nor simplified, financially fair experience going with anyone else. Thank you again Darryl and I look forward to the next project of leveling out my property.

Probably the best contractor I ever hired. Very honest, reliable, experienced, and helpful with decisions I needed to make. I was very happy with the work that he did. I had to wait a couple of months for him to be available but he had explained that if I was willing to wait that long he would add me to the schedule. Definitely worth the wait. Removed flowers, bushes, shrubs, and overgrowth on both sides of my house and placed stone, edging, and some grass.

We've been in our house for over 35 years and recently had a fair amount of work done. by Darryl Ames at Kacena Siteworks. He replaced our septic system, took out a number of giant tree stumps, resurfaced a huge garden and excavated big holes in ledge for a large fence needing to be replaced. From the very first contact he's been completely responsive, personable, reliable, diligent and exacting in his work. October 2020, I hired Darryl to excavate for a new well drains and electricity. He did a great job! He hydroseeded after ,was neat and cleaned up after himself. Very professional, knowledgable, and practical. Daryl is legitimately out to help people and did a great job for us. He met timelines as promised and was very clean with finishing our yard with excavating, grading a reseeding the lawn. Hire Daryl if possible!

Darryl worked very hard and did a nice job. Felt he was honest and charged a fair price. He works by himself so took a few days longer than expected but that was not a problem as it was done right. Our backyard looks great and would quickly recommend or hire him again

Darryl went above and beyond from the time he did the quote until the job was completed. Like many other homeowners, I requested that he did some additional work to include hydroseeding the entire front lawn, which he successfully accomplished without hesitation. I highly recommend Kacena Site Work, without reservation. Darryl did an excellent job installing our new septic system under very difficult circumstances, and worked closely with the town to ensure all necessary permits were in place. He installed the new system at the end of winter, with snow still on the ground. He also had to deal with a lot of ledge, and an old low hanging tree when the tank was brought in and finally lowered into place. He returned early spring to regrade a large area of the yard and around the leach field, laying down fresh top soil, grass seed and fertilizer. His work was excellent and his pricing very fair. The final cost came in much lower than competitive bids. We could not be happier. Thank you Darryl!!

No problem whatsoever with recommending Darryl. Price extremely fair. Work was excellent and done under extreme circumstances. I'm sure it is very difficult to install a septic system during the winter, but he did the work very well and came back this spring to finish sitework.

Darryl is a rare gem. He spent time to explain everything in detail, made sure he only did the work necessary, made recommendations without pushing for more expensive options. Darryl is courteous, incredibly dedicated to doing meticulous work, and reasonably priced. We are pleased with the job and now breathe easier for it.

I liked the statement made by Darryl in his synopsis of his co. and work experience. His closing words were "It's never wrong to do what's right." Based on that philosophy, I was convinced he was my man. I was right. He worked very hard to diagnose and solve my septic problem. He explained my options and we chose the right pump. He was unable to get the item locally and so called around to find it and drove some distance to purchase the sewage pump that I needed. He was easy to work with very honest. To top it all off, he charged a more than reasonable fee and completed the work the same day. I would highly recommend Darryl, a knowledgeable man of his word who does what's right!

We were very pleased with the entire process. KIB explained every detail along the way, they showed us how our old system had been installed incorrectly. They got the town and state invovled so that everyone knew what had happened with the original installer. KIB worked very hard to finish before Thanksgiving. The came when they said they would and finished on time. KIB gave an estimate and did everything thhe could to keep the costs down. We came in under budget. We were so pleased, we will be working with KIB in the spring on an excavation job.

KIB did a great job. The work was performed on time and on budget. Darryl of KIB went above and beyond what was quoted . Replacing a septic field might not be the most glamorous job KIB does, but they worked on our project as if it was their house. We could not have been happier with the work done and would not hesitate for a minute on reccomending KIB to anyone else. If we should need more work done in the future, KIB will be my first call!
