It went wonderfully! Jason and his crew are the best! I have recommended him to many people and all have been as happy with him as I have been! Good guy and business man.

Mr. Downer was a bit slow in getting the special bulkhead door I wanted ordered. I had seen it featured on This Old House, liked the Star Trek look of the thing, and had to hunt a bit to find a supplier and have it shipped from Rhode Island. If I'd used a normal $400 bulkhead door, I could have saved myself $1300 of unnecessary expense, and we would have avoided the delay. He wondered how well it would hold up, and I'm sure thought I was wasting my money, but he was polite about it. My impression is that Mr. Downer (I forget his first name) doesn't like working with computers, the web, or email. This delayed the project somewhat. I also found it a bit difficult to reach him by phone as well. But once the project was under way, he was prompt and professional in his work. He runs his business as a sole proprietor, and had his son's excavation company do the excavation, and other miscellaneous labor. I knew one of his sons before I had this work done, and I was impressed by his son's work ethic, and could see where it had been learned by all the sons from the father. I have additional work to be done, and if I can reach him, I will likely use him again.
Description of Work: installed a bulkhead in an existing residence. Had the area excavated, coordinated with the person who cut through the concrete foundation, installed precast stairs, and installed a special bulkhead door (a $1700 fiberglass one piece, at my request).

He arrived punctually, and completed the work on a timely basis. I had some concerns about whether he had adequate insurance and bonding to cover the subcontractors, but did not check this out thoroughly.
Description of Work: Dave oversaw the installation of a bulkhead and cellar stairs. His son provided excavation services. He hired a subcontractor to cut a hole in the foundation. He installed preformed cement cellar stairs, and a door into the basement. He installed a fiberglass bulkhead.

It went very well. We hardly knew he had been here.
Description of Work: We needed a contractor to replace two roof windows. Not a big job, but one that had to be done right. Had three other contractors look at the job, all agreed to do it but never showed up. Jason was contacted, showed up when he said he would, did the job in one day, on the day he said he would, did quality work and charged less than what he quoted.
