Everything was excellent and in fact I am going to be inviting him back.  The quality is excellent; I think the price is a little high, but I am willing to pay that.  He is a plumber's plumber.  He took his shoes off before he came into the house and wouldn't let me convince him otherwise.

Jim came right on time, and was able to tell me within the first 5 minutes that he thought that the faucet was probably designed to drip as much as it does. He thought that replacing the diverter might decrease the leak, but that it might not. He was very honest and straight forward about it. He asked me if we still wanted him to replace the diverter, and we agreed that we'd like to see if it made any difference. Unfortunately, the faucet still leaks, but we do have an awesome new diverter, and a new face plate (the one we had was cracked underneath the controller knob). Jim was very professional and honest, and was patient with both kids and dog. He charges $80 per hour; I'm not sure if that is high or low, to be honest. His price was a bit higher than he thought originally because the face plate was totally bonded to the wall and it took some unanticipated time to remove it.
