I would highly recommend Overhead Garage Door Company of Portsmouth. Jim True and his team did an excellent job. My garage doors were not easy to work with. The doors had to be cut and some real engineering had to be done. The garage doors look snd work perfectly. Jim called to follow up after the job was complete. The tech the worked on the doors was knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this company. This is who I will as always use going forward.

Handily. I thought the mechanism would have to be replaced, but no, it turned out that the problem was relatively routine. The service man had the parts needed, and even threw in a replacement remote, since mine wasn't working.

ge dooFirst of all, I contacted a total of 4 local garage door companies; I only contacted Portsmouth Overhead Garage Door Co. after the other 3 never bothered to ever return my call/s because for some reason, (not sure why) I had it in my head they were really expensive. So, after a couple of weeks of not hearing from ANY of the first three, I called P.O.D. and asked for an estimate on replacing our door. I received a call from their sales rep within 24 hours and he came out within 48. Brian came out and was very professional, quickly measured and assessed our situation. He then gave us a brief presentation concerning our options, made suggestions, was very informative (clearly knew his products) and didn't try to upsell us into the most expensive door, accessories etc. I have been in sales for 35 years and have to say, Brian did not try to sell us a door, better yet, he wisely helped us buy one. So, we ultimately gladly decided to spend more than we intended on. Within two weeks, on a day and time that was convenient for us, the installer came out.
I was surprised that only one installer showed up. Our door was the original from 1973 and weighed 300 plus pounds, which P.O.D. only charged $75 to remove and dispose of. Anyway, the installer was extremely polite, efficient, and took his time to educate me on the operation of the door as well as options and accessories we might be interested in at some point. I didn't watch him do the install, but I was impressed that one guy was able to do it without help. Once he was done he offered to help me move various items that I moved out into the driveway so he could do his job. He was intelligent, hard working, conscientious, tidy and very professional.
We know have a fantastic garage door that we should have gotten 15 years ago. I HIGHLY recommend Portsmouth Overhead Garage Door Company. Need a garage door replaced or installed/serviced; call these guys; you won't be sorry! And by the way, we are not easy to please! I know I've gone on and on, but it was an excellent experience overall!

I explained to you that the service man came out and said we could repair the noisy door by buying a certain lubricant. There was no charge, and we were very satisfied with he professionalism and honesty of the service man who came to our home.

Professional. Showed up on time. Roco set up his work as if it were a surgical field. He was so organized and efficient.
Happy all aroundReplaced two steel garage doors with vinyl. Roco did a great installation followed up by Vernon to fine tune them. Positive experience all around.
