Manicures/Nails
This was a very odd experience and not at all pleasant. Exotic Nails is known for its inexpensive pricing and now I see how they are able to do it. Clients are rushed through as if on an assembly line. The manicure is done at the same time as the pedicure. While someone is working on your feet, someone starts on your hands. Unfortunately, there really isn't room for them to do so. My manicurist had to stand off at the side, holding my arm at an uncomfortable angle. Because of this setup, my nails were filed at an angle and had to be redone. It got worse when she applied the shellac and I had to balance the gel lamp for on the chair of the arm. The end result was awful. This type of manicure usually lasts around two weeks. This one was lifting off after four days.
The pedicure was no better. The woman that started it pulled out dirty instruments from a plastic container. Her pumice stone was FILTHY. There was a language barrier, so it was very difficult to explain why I wouldn't let her use them. When she finally understood what I was saying about the pumice stone, she nodded her head, dipped the stone in the pedicure water and said, "OK now?" I had to get someone else over to start over with clean water and instruments. While I was there I saw the other employees using the same approach, pulling wet instruments out of plastic containers. I can't imagine how this place keeps its license.
