C & O Contracting Services

C&O Contracting owned by Bob Ouilette has a business of using poor materials, as a result his workmanship needs to be fixed within weeks. He then becomes overwhelmed faced with fixing everything from using rusting fencing to building in an air ventilator askew so its not facing the window. Then he finally takes the money and runs. Telling you he will come and fix it next week.... Meanwhile I had to get his hacked workmanship fixed properly by others.

Although we did not end up hiring C&O I still wanted recognize their diligence and service during the bid process. Bob was prompt and quick with a full detailed estimate. Always quick to respond with any questions, and made the process very easy.

Excellent people to work with. Their price point was right where we felt it should be. They were on time, kept us informed of any changes and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them.

On September 24, 2018 Bob Ouellet of C & O Construction walked out on the renovation of our master bathroom that was started in March 2018. The incomplete work he abandoned can be backed up with photos. There is not enough space to list it all here but includes; heater not hooked up, painting incomplete, grout hardened on top of tiles and lumped in corners, split doors on new vanity, exposed ceiling, stairs incomplete and with no railing, inadequate water pressure in new shower, unrepaired damage from ceiling leak, new AC unit not working properly and cables/hose still uncovered, to name a few. In addition, he stripped 80% of the paint off our side deck when we only asked him for a quote to repaint the deck. After stripping it, he provided a quote and when we declined, he walked away from the damage to the deck stating he had to do that to come up with a quote as he did not know if the deck needed sanding. Mr. Ouellet walked out when we requested he find a way to finish the job (already over 6 months) before Halloween, and pointed out quality issues we needed addressed like the grout, sloppy painting, and low water pressure in the shower. He accused us of “blaming him” for the problems and stormed out stating “oh, I see where this is going, keep the money and hire someone else to finish the job”! On September 30, 2018 we sent Mr. Ouellet a letter requesting the following (so we could try to finish the job): a copy of all the paperwork in regards to the renovation, including the names of all the companies that worked on our home, copies of purchase orders, original warranties and operation manuals, copies of building permits and inspections, and an itemized expenditures list showing the complete costs for materials and labor. In a phone conversation with Mr. Ouellet he stated he will not give us anything unless we pay him more money. As we paid in advance for all the work, and considering the work and damage he abandoned we told him he owes us money, not the other way around. He stated he will make sure we don’t get any information or access to the warranties because he put them all in his name. Without the requested information, it will be impossible to fix the problems he left us with. We feel this is extortion on top of an already unreasonable situation.

All in all everything was done well, friendly and good crew, cleaned up after themselves every day, but I could not give them a full 5 star rating because a few things were missed but were taken care of when I talked to contractor. Would definately hire C & O Contracting again.

Bob is one of the best contractors I've worked with in 20 years! He provided a detailed estimate, and showed what the charges were on each line item on a day by day basis. He was always on time. He offered very good suggestions on our interior renovation project. It was completed on time and within the budget. He even called to ask if I was satisfied with the work of the floor-finishing subcontractor before he paid that subcontractor. THe finished project has given our house a much more modern look, and we are very happy with the results. I highly recomment C & O Contracting Services.

Bob was great to work with and gave us an honest assessment of the project each step of the way. It was obvious he and his team really cared about the work they delivered. We rated quality slightly lower because although the some of the work they did for us was superb, a few areas of the project were just okay. Overall we would recommend C&O contracting to a friend or neighbor and we have been very pleased with the end result.

Work is still in progress on the project. This project started ok but ending is horrible, it's over 7 months and job has not been completed. Contractor trying to get money for what he did not do. Very poor quality finishing. Not good.

I had asked 3 companies to bid on a house remodeling job which included replacing the deck and attached wall which had rotted out, make basement into family room, whole house a/c, whole house automatic propane-fueled back-up generator, complete kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, paint interior rooms, replace all windows, replace vinyl flooring and wall-to-wall carpeting with tile in bathroom and entryway, hardwood flooring in kitchen, new carpeting in the rest of the house. I had the pleasure of doing business with Bob Oulette who resolved my hot water issue efficiently and cost effctively, This gentleman was very professional and I highly recommend their business to others.

Very prompt. Received a call about request and team arrived within an hour to check out my failed heater situation - I had a new heater installed within a day. Team was couteous and polite and left site very clean. Good communication and followup on my questions!

I just love all that they have done for us and they have been very good about taking on extras I have asked for all along the process. They are a very nice crew and always very polite and sensitive to our needs. The crew and the work have been professional and I have been very comfortable having them working in my home. They could try a little harder to be here when they say they will be here.

C&O Contracting has to be the worst contractor I have ever done business with.To put it in simple terms, the man is a hack.His plastering work was terrible.the pipes the plumber ran leak,every thing he did had to be done over by a real professional.When my new contractor pulled up the floor he did over for me he found cardboard stuffed under the flooring to try to make it level.C&O even used the same nails on the floor to save money.If you care for your home do not hire this man because his work stinks
