This company is the absolute worst to work with. They are right on the cusp of being fraudulent. over the course of 6 mos the following occurred in my home
1) The Project manager I was working with to order carpet, materials, molding, etc in my house was fired. He lied to me that he ordered all the materials needed to restore my home (3 -4mos after flood). Also, he was giving out my home code to all the subcontractors but telling me he was letting them in. I found out weeks later that I have a bunch of contractors with the code to my home.
2) No insulation in home 4 mos after flood.
3) They never checked the furnace for flood damage (which was in the area that was flooded) so at one point I had no insulation and no heat (4mos after flood). I had to wait 2-weeks so their HVAC (from their "special list") could come out and evaluate the furnace...this was late October.
4) They subcontract everything out to contractors on their "special list." basically, these contractors are the one's that have agreed to split a cut with PD. so you can imagine the quality of these contractors because they are getting a lower pay.
5) No supervision of subcontractors. You have contractors showing up randomely at your house (Saturday mornings, or at 630am), in and out, leaving messes behind, chandelier's hanging by a thread (that were fastened before you left for work) not doing some things because they haven't been told, messing up paint colors etc. basically you have to project manage the contractors
6) The quality of contractors is poor, not only do they have no direction and leave messes (splash paint all over your granite counter tops, throw loose trash in barrels). Or leave a sign in your back=wall of your garage stating "don't open" when they are referring to your garage door that you have already opened coming home from work.
7) No apology, accountability or recognizing errors from owner.
8) I found them reusing ceiling tiles that were damaged during the flood. You could see the difference in ceiling tile colors.
9) One worker used my microwave and blew it up so they replaced it with a brand new one. When they graciously replaced the microwave their guys hit all the gas nozzles on my stove and left gas on.
there is much more that I haven't listed here...but overall, don't use these people!
Working with these people was one of the most miserable life experience. They should be investigated by the better business bureau. They are on the cusp of being fraudulent.
1The crew was efficient, polite, and throughout the job-which took a number of days-they arrived and departed as promised, and showed respect to us, our home and insuring our inside cats (we have four) were kept safe from getting outside or injured during the activity.
I've noted a number of other reviews with poor grades, and must say that this was not our experience. The team we had did the job within the quoted time and cost, and truly did go above and beyond, from obtaining a second dumpster (we filled two of them) at no extra cost to taking the time to do "extra" steps and see that work was done correctly, not in haste.
Our mold test passed inspection, our cellar is in great shape and we were very well treated throughout. I would gladly recommend this team and Paul Davis as an organization as a result of our experiences.
