Ken did not allow us to get into our storage unit unless it was according to his time frame. We were limited to three hours. Subsequently, we arranged to get our stuff removed from the storage units, but the price quoted over the phone for bringing the storage to us was not the price demanded upon delivery. Two different figures. All this was after more than two weeks of haggling about when the storage was to be delivered. Caution that you think twice about using Cormier Movers.

Excellent crew showed up on time and worked for 9 hours straight with no complaints. They asked where we wanted everything put and were happy to help us out with special requests. everything was protected and the even protected our floors so as not to track any dirt in. It went well. The crew did exactly what they promised. On time at both locations. I had a few scratches on a bookcase and they took money off of the move (after offering to have repaired). Smooth move.

Ken and His team were great! Our move was no small task- old home- narrow stairwells, 4 stories, and 5,000 sq ft worth of furniture. It was a very personalized experience and Ken took great pride and care in getting us moved. I will definitely use these guys again!

~ September 2010,  for a $550 estimate cost,  3 workers for Cormier arrived on time with a truck and a piano skid that was too short for the 7' 4'' piano, it hung off the end of the skid.  The workers seemed polite but knew little about unscrewing the legs from the piano, instead were seen hitting the side of the legs with a wood hammer to 'loosen' it.  This did not removed the lid for the move.  The transported the piano on a skid on a dolly, and upon exiting the home it was coming out of, dropped the piano about 8 inches down on to the granite step of the home it was exiting, hitting the distal area of the piano case on the granite step, sounding all the strings with vibration. They delivered the piano to my home, set it up, dropped one of the rolled in cloth legs on the hardwood floor, failed to put the piano pin in the hinge for the lid (seemed to be lost in the travel) so that when i lifted the lid, it slid right off the side of the piano, scratching a 16 to 18 inch long by 1.25 inch wide scratch in the underside of the lid.  The "tail'' (distal to the keyboard end) of the piano now had cracked veneer.  the workers told me the cost was $600 as the original amount was "just an estimate" and they were paid by check. I contacted Ken who came out to assess the piano.  The previous owner attested that the piano did not have the damages that i reported, before the move. The previous owner also signed/notarized a statement saying she saw the piano get dropped twice during the move, including the loud drop to the granite step. Ken denied the damage was by his workers. Ken was rude, insulting and swore to me on the phone as he was slamming the phone down, though I had difficulty getting him to answer the phone if i called him, unless i "star 6 7" before dialing. Once he offered over the phone, not in writing,  to give back  $200, "in good faith" but denied responsibility. i asked him to put a claim in with his insurance co and he refused, and did not. After two years of dealing with this owner Ken,  i failed to follow through with attempting to to get the piano repaired by Cormier Movers insurance (estimate obtained for repairs was $640 from local finish carpenter working at fine musical instrument business) due to time constraints with elderly parental medical issues/care here...Though i highly recommend for my piano students, and every other piano teacher i see at association meetings and recitals,  NOT to hire this Cormier company, and on other occasions i have helped family's and called to cancel a move they scheduled with Cormier and set it up with another mover for the them so their piano will be moved properly.
I would not use this company in the future, be warned.

We chose Cormier Movers because Ken Cormier represented his company as specializing in moving elderly people to Florida.  The contract he gave us to sign was poor to read and he never explained the clause about moving valuables.  I definitely would have signed had it been explained; additional insurance was purchased for $200.00.  Packers removed several jewelry boxes I had packed tightly in a heavy box and they repacked in one of their own cartons, purposely labeling it "MBR Bath Apt Undersink & misc".  When I opened that particular box in Florida, I found 2 bath towels, a very few bath items and all of my jewelry boxes.  My largest box had a broken drawer and 2 gold necklaces and one gold bracelet had been removed by Cormier's packers.  Several other items were broken including clocks, table, serving tray, etc.  Also missing was my Lumix digital camera.  I called Ken Cormier immediately after realizing my jewelry had been stolen; he sounded very sympathetic but did nothing.  Many items were left behind in NH by packers, including a wheelchair, table umbrella stand, clock, etc.  On top of all this, Ken Cormier agreed to pay a separate check for our 58" Panasonic 3-D TV, wall mount, Blue Ray, 3-D glasses X4 which never materialized.  I submitted a claim but, of course, Cormier stated jewelry boxes were not reported on the list of articles so as far as he was concerned, he did not move them.  His packers did their job with the "misc" labeling thereby allowing them to pilfer and Ken Cormier off the hook.  I sent letters to the NH BBB, FMCSA, and NH Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau, finally paying $350.00 submitting to arbitration.  After sending my documents and pictures, I recently received a letter denying all my claims (valued at over $10,000) because “Carrier was unaware of any jewelry being placed into its custody for transit” (jewelry conveniently repacked in “misc” box).  I am now WARNING EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM CORMIER MOVERS, INC.

We hired Cormier Movers back in May for a July move wanting to prepare well in advance. Cormier had the most knowledgeable and helpful salesman of anyone we had come out and provide their thoughts and a proposal. He claimed that Cormier were and quot;expertsand quot; at moving pianos and grandfather clocks, both of which we have. He was very knowledgable about the details of moving and how best to prepare for a major move, and worked with us on dates and provided a fairly detailed estimated. My wife and I felt very confident and hired Cormier the next day.
As things are never black-and-white, first the good news. While the crew showed up several hours late, there were six movers for the job over two VERY hot days. They worked very hard, were polite, cautious and respectful. The packing seemed to go pretty well. All boxes were packed well and marked for the destination. The organization for moving out of my old house seemed to go well, using my garage as a staging area. The completed the task (more on that later) by mid-afternoon on the second day. Commendable.
There were several problems starting with the fact that nobody seemed to be really and quot;in chargeand quot; of the move.
Problem 1: The movers left a number to and quot;itemsand quot; at our old house including the pendulum and key to the Grandfather clock, two area rugs and three boxes that were packed, but still open. Problem 2: They asked me if I could approach my new neighbor about using his driveway for their truck to bring items around back and into the basement. I did that, neighbor agreed, and the truck pulled into his driveway. But it was a hot day and the truck gouged my neighbor's driveway in two places, and created a and quot;sunkenand quot; area in his black-top. Nobody noticed or said anything or thanked my neighbor. Problem 3: I can appreciate that everyone was tired at the end, but no fewer than 15 heavy boxes were piled in the basement even though clearly marked - by their packer - for other areas of the house, several of which were up two flights of stairs. I had to spend my own and quot;moving dayand quot; to make up for this. Problem 4: Turns out, they knew next to nothing about grandfather clocks, pulled it apart and couldn't put it back together, said nothing to us and left me to deal with it. Problem 5 ...The BIG Problem: I called them several times to talk about this and e-mailed them as well. I was not angry (then) . Only the salesman returned my call and promised to have the owner call me - which never happened. Now I need to call a clock guy out here and continue to move marked boxes out of the basement, which are very heavy. The return phone call could have begun solving a lot of (initially) small problems but it is obvious that this company simply doesn't care enough to follow up. Price? Theirs was good and lower than the mid-point of several, BUT they actually charged me about double the estimate!! ..and I had done much MORE packing than I told the salesman that I would probably be able to do by move time. The extra cost is not justifiable, but it is the problems that bother me. If I am anyone reading this, I would advise you to keep looking for another company regardless of any price preference you might anticipate.

We called Cormier Movers on a Saturday morning with the need to move a piano from one room to another on an 'emergency' basis. To our amazement, they were able to do it and showed up on schedule two or three hours later. I was impressed! I would definitely use them again.

It went well. The piano was wrapped safely, lowered from the lift deck onto a dolly, then rolled by three men into our finished basement through the garage. It had to be tipped up on its side to turn it around a corner and it was then lowered nicely and slowly into position. The taped blankets were removed, we checked for damage, and then paid them by check, which is what they were expecting. It took about 15 minutes. This same company had had taken the piano about a year earlier from our second floor because we had to put it in storage, also with no problems.

Outside of some damage that I am still awaiting to be claimed and sorted through, the services were satisfactory overall. The unjustified charges after the move are what I take issue with. I agreed to pay some additional hourly charges for packing that I was agreeable to. I was invoiced for $500 additional dollars for packing, which I felt was reasonable. What I was not agreeable to was an additional $980 billed that was not discussed when I was invoiced. Cormier also miscalculated my weight by 35% and I agreed to pay this. The worst part of this to me was the complete lies told to the Better Business Bureau regarding our discussions and the services performed for the additional hourly services invoiced as if I was lying to them. My Cormier and Tracy Smeeden presented a far different view of what was agreed upon in the beginning or why there was such a severe miscalculation than the truth. I would not recommend this company to anyone for their services, but would be even more reluctant based on their business practices and overall honesty. The overall attitude and desire to service the customer seemed to change the very moment I had paid my deposit and signed the contract. In the past I had agreed to a fixed charge for moves and I would recommend doing this for anyone. Unscrupulous moving companies like Cormier feel justified in using the hourly rates to charge whatever they please and have even a great deal more leverage when they are in possession of one's belongings.
Response from Cormier Movers Inc
"The billing discrepancies in (deleted member name) complaint are a direct result of him changing his original service request. The original estimated cost and weight were based on what (deleted member name) showed Mr. Cormier on the day he was given the estimate. This did not include any items outside of his home or inside his shed. (deleted member name) also received another quote from another mover for the same 8000lb of items to be moved that must have included the same items (deleted member name) called us to inform us that he had knee surgery and was unable to complete aspects of the move he had originally agreed to do himself. As an uncalculated addition to the original estimate, (deleted member name) decided to include the contents of a 10.15 storage shed, including a riding lawn mower, outdoor tools, patio furniture, and extensive amount of miscellaneous items. As a result of the all the additional services required by (deleted member name), our company had to spend an entire 2nd day in order to complete his move to our warehouse for storage. (deleted member name) was well aware of a cost increase and had instructed the company to complete the relocation. (deleted member name) supervised the entire move and was well aware of the fact that he was being charged by the hour, his contract also clearly indicates this. The company has already given (deleted member name) $260.00 of free packing, plus a 75% reduction in normal storage rate for 12 vaults as he was originally quoted for 6 vaults, plus a $ 480 reduction on his bill for the hourly services. We feel this to be a generous reduction to the bill, and have done everything we can to resolve this issue. If you request services to be rendered you should be willing to pay for them. We care about our reputation and how our customers feel when they use our services."

The three men from Cormiers where on time, very friendly and very
patient in placing the cabinet exactly where my wife wanted it. The
cabinet was placed, all shelves installed and all packing cleaned up
before they left our home. Ken was very friendly when I talked and had
called me back in less than 15 minutes after leaving a message.
I would highly recommend.

Ken of Cormier Movers was very prompt when returning/answering our phone inquiries. He and his co-worker showed up at the time specified, loaded the truck quickly, packed our items carefully and delivered them to theiir destination safely. I would definiteley engage them again. We only needed them to move our daughters belongings from our home in NH to her apartment in MA, but it was a huge relief for us not to have to deal with moving her furniture and collection of books.

As I mentioned above, I didn't know who to hire for this piano moving. I wanted to stay with someone local and called a few companies and left messages without any return calls. A few called back but they didn't seem interested since it was such a small move. One even told me I should have called last month during slow season. When I left the message with Ken, he returned my phone call and answered all of my questions with patience and was very professional. I called him again a few days before the move to see if it was o.k. to add a few more pieces and he got right back to me saying it was no problem.
Ken definitely returns calls promptly.
The day Ken arrived with his 2 workers, they were on time, very professional and did a great job moving the piano to the garage without ruining the floors. They moved all of the bedroom furniture up to the second floor bedroom without a problem.
If I ever need a mover again. I will definitely use Cormier Movers and will recommend them.

As mentioned, we purchased the piano online, and though I had the physical address for the movers to pick up the piano, I neglected to get a contact phone number from the seller. Ken Cormier handled the situation and his movers were able to pick up the piano and deliver it even though I made their job more complicated than it should have been. They really came through for us, and I'm not sure other movers would have been so thorough in following up on this. Can't recommend them highly enough!

We sold our home and needed a mover for 7 rooms of furniture including a piano, lawn and garden equipment. Their price was very competitive along with providing us with wardrobe boxes at no charge and keeping our furniture on their trucks for an extra day at no extra charge while we went through the close processes on a sale and purchase. They did all the work as stated and within the time estimated. The furniture arrived in good condition, they were careful of both properties and just worked extremely hard throughout the entire process. The guys on the trucks were so patient with us as well, where each box and piece of furniture was to be placed, etc. We packed ourselves and they also added extra padding and wrapping of pieces as needed.

We purchached a new home in January 2012 and needed a mover to assist us moving our things from our 2 story 2 bedroom apartment to our brand new house 20 miles away. Cormier movers were responsive to our original request for information, and came and did an in home estimate to assure that they were aware of all of the things we needed moved. They gave us a quote that day, and the end price was almost spot on. We ran into some trouble with our closing, and had to move the date twice. Thank goodness Ken and his crew were extremly flexable, they accomidated our needs (which I'm sure was not an easy thing for them to do on the short notice we were forced to give). Though they had to reschedule our move on the day of due to weather, they were very accomidating to our needs the next day. The crew was friendly and very cautious with our things, treating them like their own. They worked quickly but safely and all of our belongings got to our new home safe, sound, and in one peice! I would reccomend them again in a heart beat.

THIS COMPANY SENT ENOUGH PEOPLE TO MOVE THE ITEMS FROM THE HOME INTO THE TRUCK, BUT ONLY HAD 2 PEOPLE TO UNLOAD, AND IT TOOK LONGER TO UNLOAD THEN TO LOAD. THEY HAD TO HIRE SOMEONE OFF THE STREET TO HELP. NOTHING OF MINE WAS DAMAGED.
