Veterinary Emergency Critical Care

I have a dog with an ongoing medical problem who needed an emergency admission at midnight. The door was locked, so I rang the bell. The tech at the desk kept trying to wave me in (although she could see I had my arms full with my dog). That was more than frustrating, but once she finally got up to let us in, things got much better. Seeing how ill she was, the whole team swooped in on her at once, explaining all that they were doing as they were doing it. Very sweet, caring providers. The biggest downside was the very high price, discussed by a vet tech. When I balked at the price for some of the treatments, I got a frown and a bit of attitude from the tech. The doc was MUCH better to deal with and actually worked with me to talk about what I thought was appropriate treatment for a dog that was sick to start with. Dr. Winn, in particular, was fantastic. My dog went from critically ill to stable enough to go home within 36 hours. Within a few weeks she was back to normal. Highly recommended.
