I ordered 3 very expensive doors on one project which looked great. I attempted to order 3 doors for a new project. There was confusion as I texted info to what turned out to be a cell phone. When I called to clear up the confusion, the owner went into a rant about how I was dishonest, evasive, and a generally bad person. This on a phone call where I was trying to give them $6000 worth of business. I bought the doors from a local Clopay dealer (Thompson) instead
Response from Lizzies Garage Doors
"Recently, [member name removed] contacted my business to order garage doors for a customer of his. When I spoke with him the first time, I gave him a job quote on the phone and shipped color samples to his customer. These samples were received in [Member Information Removed] days, which I consider to be prompt service. I spoke with him again, at which time he confirmed the customer wanted to order the garage doors. He then promised to text me the contact information for the builder completing the job so I could set up an appointment to go over the design and color of the door with the builder and home owner. I did not receive a text. I called him the next day to let him know I didn't the information. He told me he was too busy to talk and called me over an hour later and again promised to text the information. At that point he asked that I text him back to confirm if I received the text. Because I never received the text, he did not get a confirmation. A day later, he called the office asking why I wasn't meeting with the customer and builder. When asked, he read the number he was texting and was informed that he was texting a land line and that he should have made sure he was texting an actual cell phone. He complained that my business still uses a land line and told us that we should be using a cell phone for the main number of the business. My business has had the same phone number for 54 years, that will not change to suit his needs. Lighthouse Designs out of sudbury Mass, is an extremely disorganized business that does not take responsibility for their own actions. Dumb liberal take no responsibility"

I didn't have any problems.  Overall, I would rate them an A.

Back in 2005 I bought two Genie garage door openers from Home Depot, and paid to have Home Depot do the installation. After a few days after the installation, the doors would intermittantly stop opening and closing. After several calls to Home Depot and Genie, and after having the person who installed the openers back out to the house, Home Depot decided to have Lizzies Garage fix the issue on their behalf. I received a call from Mrs Lizzie to ask me what the issue was and when they could come by. I was stunned at the level of unprofessionalism and how rough she treated me. She proceeded to lecture me as to why I should not have gone to Home Depot in the first place, and screamed at me on the phone. I thought I was dealing with a mad woman. She kept calling Home Depot "Home Cheapo", and made it seem like I deserved problems since I went to them. She was very bitter. I was desperate to get the openers working, so I swallowed my pride, bit my tongue, and put up with her attitude and scheduled the appointment. The young man who showed up from Lizzies was polite, professional, and on time. The only issue was that he wanted a $200 check before he would even start any work. Since I had already paid Home Depot for the labor, I had to call them to get this settled so he could start the work without the check. He went to work, looked over the openers, made some adjustments, and told me the reason why the doors would not open was because the garage doors were too heavy. This turned out to be not true. The door openers continued to be an issue, so Home Depot told me they could give me back my money for the openers and the installation. I pulled down the openers, brought them back to Home Depot and got my money back. The next year I had another company install openers and haqve never had an issue! I would never deal with Lizzies because of the unprofessional attitude.

I contacted Brad Lizzie of Lizzie's Garage Doors to receive a quote on the purchase and installation of a Clopay Coachman residential garage door (8 x 7) and a LiftMaster Elite Series 3/4 garage door opener w/ battery back-up (incl. removal and disposal of the old door). Within a few days, Brad came to my home to take a look at my garage and deliver a written price quote. Due to the low clearance of my garage, Brad determined that I'd need a low head track. Prior to contacting Lizzie's Garage Door, I researched the price of the Clopay Coachman garage door and opener at Home Depot. Since it's my understanding that Home Depot utilizes subcontractors, I decided to receive a quote from a Clopay garage door company and to hire whoever was cheaper. The quote I received from Lizzie's Garage Door was $200 less than Home Depot's advertised sale price. 2 weeks later, after informing Brad that his company was awarded the job, associates of Lizzie's Garage Doors came to my home and installed the garage door and opener over a period of 2 days. The job would have been performed in a single day, but, based on a recommendation from Lizzie's associate, I opted to upgrade to an opender w/ battery back-up to allow access to my garage in the event of a power outage, since there's no means of egress aside from the door. Lizzie's associates were very hard working and at all times professional. They made sure everything worked and provided instruction on programming the openers before they left. I'm very pleased with the service I received from Lizzie's Garage Doors, and I recommend them to others.
