EverWood Flooring

Back in March my husband and I met with Dustin to discuss changing the stain on the first floor of our house. Our floors were in great shape and with our house only being about 7 years old, he flat out was honest and told us that we were basically crazy to change anything. Despite this and the fact that my husband told him that we weren't doing the project, he went through the whole proposal and never seemed rushed. After months of complaining about the color, I think my husband finally got sick of hearing it from me and agreed to do the floors. I called Dustin and he was able to get us in on my desired dates. He was so honest and transparent about the entire process. His communication was great and he was very responsive to all my questions no matter what time of day it was. He spent a great deal of time selecting the stain color and putting samples in various rooms under different kinds of lights. I am such a visual person so this really was helpful for me. His crew was so awesome and they were so careful with all of our white trim. The dust was minimal and they taped up our kitchen to protect it very well. When we walked in once the job was complete, besides the smell of the stain and of course the new color, you never would have known that major work had gone on. The house was clean and the crew had left no trash or anything behind. Dustin came back to inspect everything and made sure that we were totally satisfied. We couldn't be happier with everything and even though it was a challenging week trying to juggle work, sick kids and everything else while living with our in-laws 50 miles away, it was so worth it and we would highly recommend them to anyone!!!!

We were introduced to Everwood Flooring by our interior designer, who recommended the company highly based on previous experience. We're glad we took the recommendation; the company was responsive, the price competitive, and the floors look fantastic. The owner Dustin is a nice guy who knows his stuff when recommending materials and approaches to challenging situations like weaving together new and old floors, and working around existing trim. The company demonstrated welcome attention to detail working around built-in cabinets and protecting fixed shelving with with plastic. Plus the company's dustless system left us with very little cleanup - far less than we expected compared a company that we used previously. I'd use the company again without reservation, and recommend them highly to others.

Fantastic.  Looks great.  We changed the color and love it.  Only wish is that we did it sooner and had more floors to refinish  :)
Dustin is really nice and all of his workers were as well.  
He's not super responsive by email so when I had some questions and were trying to schedule the work, it dragged on for a while because there were days between emails.  Perhaps its more timely if you call.
I also didn't realize that you can't walk on the floor for 4 days, so keep that in mind when scheduling.
We would hire Dustin again to do floor work (install or refinish).

Excellent experience from start to finish for us! Dustin was great to work with, explaining our options and discussing possible outcomes, and how the design would work in our home. In the end, we had him rip out the tile in the kitchen and existing beat up pine floors in the family room. In addition, we refinished the light hardwood floors in the front living room/ entry/ stairway to match the dark wood that was installed new. WOW!! It came out even better than I thought it would. They were timely, showed when they said they would, and even finished a little ahead of schedule. Clean/ neat- there were no surprises here. I'd certainly recommend them for any flooring project in your home- fabulous experience. You won't be sorry!! I wish there were a grade higher than an A! :)

Professional, courteous, and most important - the job came out just beautiful!  The job took only two days for the installation of the wood floor in our bedroom (it is a very large room).  All sawing was done outside and the job was cleaned up at the end and we were ready to move our bedroom furniture back in at the end of day 2.  Again, Dustin was extremely courteous and professional - quite refreshing.

They did a great job, and I was very happy with how the floor turned out. It is obvious that Dustin takes pride in his work and knows quite a bit about hardwood flooring. Both Dustin and Trevor worked very hard, and they were both pleasant to deal with. I like the fact that Dustin is accessible via email and cell. The work was completed on schedule.

I intentionally waited on submitting this review until the wood flooring had some time to settle and I could do a proper review. First of all I wanted to explain what we had done. We had a new(ish) home that had carpeting on the stairs, landing and upper craft room (a small room upstairs). We contracted EverWood to pull out the old flooring and install hardwood. We had some discussions and back-and-forth on whether or not to use unfinished or pre-finished flooring. Dustin was great in explaining all of the pros and cons and we decided on a pre-finished flooring. Now, stairs are much more difficult than typical flooring and Dustin went to great lengths to make sure we understood all aspects of what was going to be done. Originally, we were going to have the flooring installed by a competitor (you can search my profile to find the other review). They had mentioned they would do it all in one day. After speaking with Dustin, it was clear that was not only not possible but would have been a disaster. Fortunately, we were well prepared.
We were quoted a 5 day install and that is exactly what it took. Dustin's team did a fantastic job and Dustin himself spent a huge amount of time to make sure that the stair treads and risers were properly installed. This is a key aspect that you won't find in budget contractors. The attention to detail was far beyond what we expected (in a very positive way). By working with Dustin ahead of time we were assured that we understood what was being done and how long each step should take. The upstairs landing and craft room took roughly two days to remove all of the old flooring and install the new prefinished flooring. The next three days were spent making sure that the stairs were done properly, including having to remove and replace a few spindles.
We did not have the risers pre-finished so I completed that after the stairs were done. Dustin spent a great amount of time making sure the cuts and alignment of each step was perfect. Although this took extra time, the end result was spectacular. The stairs are perfectly aligned and show no movement after two months of use. There is no shifting or noise and the stairs look great.
Overall I would highly recommend this company and look forward to using them for future projects.

It went excellent. Dustin was very attentive. He explained everything in layman's terms and help us select which floor we had in skilled. He was very detailed in his work and fixed any problem we pointed out to him.

Everything went very well and we are very satisfied with the work.

Dustin was great all around, he gave me options, made cost saving suggestions, was on time with appointments and did not make a stink with last minute changes.

I wanted to replace the carpets in my bedrooms, their closets and the hallways leading to them with new hardwood floors, and I wanted them to match the hardwood floors I already had in my home. I found EverWood Flooring through a Google search, and I immediately called the owner, Dustin Deslauriers. He came the next day, measured the rooms and told me he would get back to me quickly with a quote. As soon as I spent a few moments talking to him, I knew I could trust him to be in my house while I wasn't there. (I work full-time and did not want to take time off from work during the installation.) I also knew I could depend on him to do a good job, based on what he told me his experience was. When I got the quote the next day, I was thrilled, because his quote was $1000.00 less than one I had previously gotten from a friend! He was able to start the job the following week, so I was also happy about that!
Let me say that I couldn't be more thrilled with my new hardwood floors, and everyone who sees them remark about how beautiful they are! Dustin's workmanship and attention to detail are phenomenal. He is meticulous and a master at his craft. Alone, or with some of his staff, he was at my home every day, supervising and working himself. There was little disruption and little to no dust. He came when he said he was going to and finished when he said. Best of all, he dealt with my three dogs during the entire process, and always with a smile on his face!! He is pleasant and caring, and went above and beyond to accommodate my individual needs and circumstances.
I'm recommending EverWood Flooring to everyone I know! It's hard these days to find individuals who do great work and offer great service, who are also trustworthy, professional and have integrity. Dustin Deslauriers is one of those rare individuals!! It's obvious that he puts his heart and soul into his work, the results of which can only be described as works of art. Truly!!!

My experience with EverWood Flooring was great!! They exceeded my expectations! The entire job was completed in a timely manner and right on schedule. We had actually gone away for the weekend and they worked while we were gone to complete the floors and had them ready for our return. When they say and quot;dustless floor sandingand quot; they mean it! There was absolutely no mess...no dust, no extra vacuuming, unbelievably clean!! This was very important to me because the last time my floors were refinished, it wasn't dustless and I was cleaning it up for weeks. The painters actually made more of a mess! Dustin and his crew were very accommodating, working with me to schedule the floors around the other contractors I've had in the house. When I was having trouble deciding on the finish, he came back to my house with large samples and helped me decide definitively on the finish I wanted. That was so helpful! Compared to other prices, theirs is very competitive, but the service is outstanding and the floors came out beautifully! I was impressed that they were able to remove years and years of kids and toys and dogs and everything that comes with a house full of activity. They even replaced a couple of rotting boards for me and you can't tell the old floor boards from the new floor boards. So much attention was paid to detail, and I couldn't ask for a higher quality service. Bottom line: I would highly recommend EverWood Flooring to anyone who is considering refinishing their floors!
