Horrible! To begin, the job started later than the established start date. The contractor/owner did, however, show up exactly on time to tell me it would be another week. Once the job actually started, I was very pleased for the first week. All downhill starting the end of the 2nd week. The owner and the employee he sent out (who I actually really liked) had a falling out and the employee walked off the job. Things were not ordered when I was told they were ordered (this went on for months!...there were constant excuses. Everything, according to the contractor, would take multiple weeks/months to show up. I started calling around/checking online and almost everything could have been at my house in about a week...he just never ordered things). The owner was often talking to me about personal problems (both in person and on the phone...and I did try and listen because it is the right thing to do if you can help someone). Then it became constant. This affected his work. I didn't see anyone for weeks at a time (keep in mind that it is a 7 X 5 bathroom). He lost a bunch of our stuff (cabinets, etc.) that were actually in our house but got taken out by the 1st employee, for God only knows what reason. He eventually sent out a different guy (a guy he just met that was working on the siding of my neighbor's home...he asked my advice, based on his work, if he should hire him...my answer was, "No. Absolutely not". I then proceeded to point out what a shoddy job he was doing. The contractor agreed). One week later, this guy was hired and was at my house to tackle putting in the shower. Nice guy, but, the problem was that he was a framer (and not a good one) and had never installed a shower before or had any plumbing knowledge whatsoever. He put the shower in completely wrong and then I had to explain (after reading the instructions myself) how to install the shower correctly. This caused damage to previous work that is still there to this day. He quit working for the contractor 2 days later. The owner eventually sent out a real nice guy and I thought things would get back on track. The problem now became two-fold. The new guy was injured and the owner kept pulling him off my job to do other jobs. Eventually the new guy needed surgery.....and that ended any further work on my bathroom. This all took place from Oct. until mid January. The original contract called for 2 bathrooms and a fence put around a deck. The estimated timeframe to do all this work was 3 weeks. All I got was a sub par 75% complete bathroom. When we threatened to sue, he gave some money back, but, not nearly enough. If not for our busy schedules, my wife and I would have sued for the rest.

"Normally, as the owner of 90 Degree Construction llc I would not respond to most reviews, but there are many inaccuracies in this review. To begin: There was never an established start date, and we did show up 1 week after I hoped to begin Most importantly the employee you referred to as "who you actually really liked" was my son, who did 2 tours of duty in the Army in Baghdad during the Iraqi War and saw some of his buddies die. I believe I told you this before we signed any contract. He doesn't work for me right now, and we are trying to get him help. The VA says he is suffering from PTSD. Everything else you have said is nonsense, your wife ordered everything online for this job, and most was ordered incorrectly for the sizes and delivery dates, and things were not delivered correctly from Home Depot. I spent 15 additional hours trying to straighten all of it out NOTHING WAS TAKEN OUT OF YOUR HOUSE I admit my foreman informed me of his knee surgery after I signed your job, but people need to take care of themselves, and I had to deal with that. I gave you the full amount of your money back for your materials and labor when you decided not to continue this project We have many satisfied customers Sincerely, John Pentasuglia 90 Degree Contsruction llc 603-321-9114"

John took great care of me. I had a small job, but he treated it seriously, giving me a quick, reasonable estimate. He worked it into his schedule in a week and got it finished quickly and efficiently. He suggested a creative solution that made the final result look great. I am completely satisfied. Awesome job! I would definitely hire him again.

Throughout the entire experience, John and his crew were respectful, insightful and project managed the entire renovation from beginning to end. The initial estimated time window was 2-3 weeks, and a majority of the work was done in 2 weeks, with everything else completed within 3 (with the exception of the windows, which required special order).

John and his crew cleaned up well after the work was done, and I will definitely be using them again for future projects.

Everything went pretty much according to plan. They arrived on the designated day and were here just about every day of the 3 week estimated project and completed on time.
We ironed out any foreseeable problems before the project started and anything that did come up was quickly resolved.
I am a do it yourselfer  who does the majority of the repairs and renovations around the house myself but really didn't want to waste my whole summer with plumbing, sheet rocking, tiling etc, so I contracted out the project.
Needless to say I kept close tabs on the project and couldn't fault anything along the way. John and Mike were very good about keeping me in the loop whenever a decision needed to be made or they had a suggestion to make the project better.

We recently had 90 Degree Construction do a complete renovation of our kitchen in a log cabin home.  They arrived on time and immediately started the demo.  We had all cabinets and counter tops replaced.  The island cabinets were moved and raised to fit bar stools on the dining room side.  The counter tops were replaced with tile and are a beautiful contrast to the log walls.
The old flooring was removed and replaced with tile and then new appliances were installed.  We added a dishwasher to our floor plan, which they were more than helpful getting installed for us.
I was kept informed of any changes in materials to better improve the look of the kitchen, such as the color of grout on the floor tiles.  I had picked a color that was too dark and would overshadow the tile so they recommended a lighter shade which was much more appealing.
They shared any information with us they thought would be helpful such as proper plumbing for the new dishwasher and hook up for  the stove exhaust fan.

John showed me some pieces of the deck that were solid and did not need to be replaced (kept cost down).  He also showed me that there was no flashing where the deck met the house and he added the flashing for me.  John was professional as well as his crew.  He had the whole project done in about two days.  He kept the job site clean during the job and did a great cleanup after the project was finished.  A few days after I noticed one of the boards had cracked, he came right out and replaced with no questions asked. I will use him for any future jobs.

90 degree construction did an excellent job residing my house.  They were punctual, cleaned up after themselves and finished the job quickly.  I have used them before for various other construction endeavors and as usual the quality was excellent.  I have recommended John to friends, and based on the quality of his work once again, I would continue recommending him.  (you can see my kitchen review under kitchen remodels).

John was great.  I had him come and give me an estimate for my kitchen.  I had an idea of what I wanted, but he had ample suggestions, and we were able to come up with a much better plan.  He redesigned my whole mud room to allow for a bigger kitchen, while still keeping an area to come into and put all our stuff, boots, etc.  John and his crew were always on time, professional, and cleaned up after themselves.  When I decided to change some of the kitchen design midway, (I decided I wanted it open above the island instead of having all cabinets above it) John helped me figure out places to put the now extra cabinets we had (because we couldn't return them at that point) and they look great.  As far as work, he installed cabinets, installed a new hardwood floor, rebuilt  and roofed the mudroom and moved some heating.  Overall, I was very happy with his work, and have since used hime for small jobs at my home and to replace my siding, and have been happy with his work.  I would and have recommended him to others.  If you are looking for someone who is honest and hardworking, and someone who can contribute ideas when needed, then John and his company are for you.

Came twice to the house to answer questions and generate a quote. Was punctual on both visits. Spent as much time as we needed to answer our questions. Once we signed agreement, he gave us an estimated time frame for the start date. Within that time frame he called us to let us know the exact date he would arrive. Told us what we had to do in advance to prepare. Arrived on the promised date and went to work. Job took a few days due to having to wait for a concrete foundation to dry. Left the job site free of debris. Performed the work specified for the amount quoted.

I've worked in the Boston building trades for almost 40 years. I met John at a home show in Nashua. He seemed like a nice guy and easy to work with and the references he gave me were positive. I asked him how much of the work he'd do himself and he said 90%. He seemed to know what he was talking about and his price was within my budget. I hired him and gave him the first payment. We celebrated with a beer and he told me what a great chef he is and how he'd make some gourmet meals for me. That was all talk. Never saw a morsel. His attitude changed after I paid him. He became very arrogant and he didn't like me asking questions. He also did about 1% of the work. He stood around with his arms folded and stared at his help. The quality of the framing is terrible. Nothing is plumb and a lot of studs are not 16" apart. I brought this up and told him I wanted it fixed. He told me that he knew about it and didn't need any help from me. He also told me not to look at anything else until it was done. Yeah, right! He told me that it would be done in 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, and him not showing up for 2 days, I asked him when he thought it would be done. He became enraged and told me that it would be done when it's done. He was screaming and hollering until he left my property. I told him to stay off my property and have his crew finish up ASAP. This guy will never admit when he's wrong. A lot of work is hacked and I'll have to pay a real professional to finish it to an acceptable level. All this could have been avoided if he listened to me while it was being constructed. He always answered my questions with arrogance for no other reason than to satisfy his huge ego. John should not own his own business. He shows no respect to his clients after he starts receiving payments. Stay away from this contractor at all costs.

"This man is a bully like no other, I added this garage off the back of his home, and reroofed his entire home in less than 5 weeks. On one occassion he refered to me as being full of #*&! in front of my employees twice. I stood up for myself then, and when I returned after only one day on another project, he accosted me with no greeting, puffed out his chest, and said, " When are you going to be finished?" I defended myself then also, although never raised my voice, or became enraged. He is not a nice person to work for. On another occassion he belittled me in a casual conversation in front of his wife, and my excavator because I thought sugar maple season was in the fall. I had to walk away, he was really mean. The workmanship was exceptional, and he said so on a few occassions to my employees, and subcontractors, never to me though. I think he felt he had to excercise his authority over me because he couldn't build the garage himself. If you ever met me you would see that the person he is describing is not me. I have plenty of excellent references, and many freinds who will attest to that. The job was 100% completed, although I was never paid in full."
