Moving
It took him less than 3 minutes to glance around the condo and give me a verbal estimate of "between $550 and $700" for the whole move, far less than anyone else I'd talked to. I guess I should have seen that as a red flag. On moving day, I called him up more than a half-hour after he said he'd show up and had to remind him on the phone who I was!
One of the worst service experiences of my life -- not just moving ... I'm talking about *any* service experiences! He griped the entire day about how much bigger the job was than he'd expected it to be and how much longer it was taking. This despite the fact that my wife and I had packed and wrapped and dismantled *everything*, including the furniture he'd promised to dismantle. He did not have enough blankets for all of my fine wood furniture and by the end had started (without asking) using the leftover cardboard boxes that we had lying around (that we had planned on returning to Home Depot). At lunch break, he asked me to pay his fee early so he could run out and buy some second-hand tires for his truck (which was rusted, delapidated, too small for the job and did indeed have bald tires all around). When I did give him a check, he wanted extra "because the job took so much longer than he'd expected" and he wanted the check written out to himself "'cuz Uncle Sam ain't gettin' any of this!"
Listing all of the ways this guy was *not* professional (racist jokes, inappropriately personal conversation, lousy work ethic, etc.) would take far too long. Suffice it to say, the *only* redeeming factor in this experience was the price. But I would gladly play twice the price to use someone else next time.

Moving
The crew arrived 15 minutes early and began immediately. The crew worked quickly but carefully handing breakables with extreme care. Upon arrival at the new location, the crew put boxes in designated rooms as requested. The only con was the owner's poor people and communication skills. Apparently he had forgotten there was a piano to be moved and had to be called to the jobsite. Once there he was particularly unkind to the crew in front of my husband. Further upon arrival at the other house, the owner was upset there was a set of stairs as he assumed a first floor to first floor move meant ground level to ground level. The owner told my husband he would be gracious and not back charge us as it must have been a miscommunication. Really??? I was very clear when I made the arrangements that our garage and basement are above ground, so the first floor is up a set of stairs. That said, the crew was amazing, efficient, polite and professional. I would use this company again without hesitation - just be VERY clear with the owner.
