I just had Troy finish my office and stairwell. It looks amazing. My wife and I moved from our apartment and did not know anyone who could effectively help us that we trusted. Luckily we found Troy on Angie. He was super nice, on time, and did great work.

In the fall of 2022, I bought a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo and in the spring of 2023, I decided to explore the possibility of having the entire condo painted sooner rather than later as originally planned. I was thrilled to connect with Troy Schwotzer Painting. I had a strong desire to work with a smaller, local business rather than large contractor firms that outsource jobs to other contractors, so Troy was top on my list to contact as I started receiving responses to my inquiry on Angi. He was extremely prompt in replying to my inquiry and within a couple of days we did a walkthrough of my condo. I immediately felt comfortable with Troy. He was professional and extremely polite. He listened carefully as I shared exactly what I was looking for and provided a quote within the week. The reviews for his company on Angi and his website were consistently positive and the photos of his work demonstrate a pride in what he does. I was and still am so excited about the results. Troy didn’t just put paint on my walls, he transformed my entire living space. The walls look like velvet, the crown molding and doors glisten and my ceilings are so clean and bright. Also important to note, I work from home and there were absolutely no disruptions. We discussed a plan and outlined the painting schedule ahead of time so that he could move freely throughout my home while I worked in my office. He arrived promptly each day, put in an excellent day’s work and wrapped up around the same time each day and in less than a week he was done. It was honestly a pleasure to have him in my home; sharing his skills and talents to help make my vision and dreams for my first home a reality. I highly recommend Troy Schwotzer. Troy did a phenomenal job going above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly. He arrived on time and worked diligently while on the job. Very easy to communicate with. I seldom provide reviews because I'm seldom impressed. I'll make an exception for Troy. He did a fantastic job at my house and his attention to detail exceeds even mine...and I thought I was picky. As the result of water damage, I had to have a couple rooms done but then decided to change the colors everywhere and it was too much for me to do with other projects underway at the same time. Troy started in my finished basement, and it has never looked so good. There were hundreds of nails to be set and filled, new plaster, base, chair rail and ceiling moldings. Looks great!! The first floor was going through a complete color change in every room, including a two-story foyer. Again, the prep work was masterful with every small imperfection fixed before Troy started painting. When everything was done, I walked in and just kept saying "Wow". It looks like a new house. Not just because of the color change, but because every blemish on every wall was patched first. As they say, painting is all about the preparation. That's where I get bored...but Troy excels. I would highly recommend him and would hire him again without a second's hesitation.

I cannot say enough great things about Troy. From our initial contact, he was professional, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and in a timely manner. He knows his trade and combining that with years of experience made for excellent results. He painted all of our walls, doors, trim, and ceilings and it’s like a whole new house! Before giving the narrative of the fantastic work Tony did, I should add that Tony far exceeded the 5 stars and should more probably be rated with 10 stars. In the fall of 2022 I needed the complete interior of a house I own in Concord painted. Living in Illinois I relied on the rating system provided by Angi and found the best rated painter and contacted him. Fortunately, Tony had an opening in two weeks and could accommodate my needs. He spent almost 2 weeks completing the job which included all walls and ceilings, repainting the kitchen cupboards as well as painting the stairs and access area along the cellar stairs to the basement. To say I was utterly delighted with Tony’s work is an understatement when I was able to view it for myself during Christmas, 2022. Tony is a gentleman, relates easily and well and is a true professional. He has perfected his trade over the years and I was fortunate to be able to take advantage of it. The work, including patching a large hole in a wall which had horse hair plaster, was of the highest standards and most pleasing to the eye not only of myself but of others who were aware of the conditions of the house before Tony brought it back to newer than new. I have never written a recommendation of such praise before as I have not run into a tradesman capable of such fine work and in whom I have complete trust. Loring Nilsson

Troy painted several rooms in my house for a fair price this summer. He was punctual, worked throughout the times we arranged, and cleaned up at the end of each day. He is polite and professional, and his work is fantastic. My house looks great. I already got an estimate for him to do additional work at my home.

Troy was great to work with. He did an excellent job for us - a quality paint job at a cost well below the estimates we received from several other painting companies. And he was able to get the job done for us much sooner than expected. I highly recommend Troy to anyone who needs painting done.

Troy is a perfectionist and a master of the paint brush. He is focused on his work, and everything must be perfect before he completes the job. He painted the ceilings and the walls in our entire house, both floors, while my wife was working from home. He was seamless doing his work so much so that you couldn't even tell he was there. He was pleasant, professional, punctual, cleaned up after himself, and he did an outstanding job. He also prepped the walls to make sure they were smooth prior to painting. Troy did an excellent job painting the entire interior of our home. From ceilings to baseboards, he was professional, diligent and house was left spotless every day. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent! Troy painted vaulted ceilings in master bedroom and bath and hall. He also painted walls and trim in those rooms as well as the walls in the living room, dining room, sun room and kitchen. He showed up right on time to start the job and finished the job in the promised time frame. He covered floors and furniture and kept his supplies organized and neat while he was working and when he finished for the day. He patched all holes and imperfections before he started so that you can't even tell where the holes were. He was responsive from my first contact all the way through to the end of the job. All that and the price was reasonable too!

Troy was perfect He painted my whole house 2500 square feet and did a outstanding job. Troy showed up at 7-7:30 every day until the job was completed I am extremely happy and I would recommend Troy in a heartbeat!!
