Ray the Mover damaged various expensive pieces of furniture of mine, including birthday gifts from my husband. Despite paying for extra insurance coverage, they refuse to take accountability. Find another company to move your goods. Allied Van Lines / Ray the Mover - not what they used to be. They are expensive and don't stand by their work. Save yourself money and go with another company.

STAY AWAY. Damaged 45 items for over $7,000 and then refused to pay out even $1K. Made up all kinds of excuses, said they didn't disassemble items (which they did), refused to pay for stains on our couches, the list goes on and on. They damaged about 25% of everything they touched! Terrible moving job and terrible responses. I will be taking them to arbitration. They also yelled at my pregnant wife. Great customer service. It's too bad because I used Allied Van Lines for a corporate move and they were spectacular. Or maybe that's the point: they squeeze you when you pay for it yourself.

Phenomenal service from Ray the movers. They sent two drivers and a truck. These 2 guys Brandin and Josh were excellent. Polite, respectful, punctual, they had to hoist my couch up over the second floor balcony. I never once heard one single complaint. I had a lot of stuff too. Money well spent and the cost was reasonable. Highly recommend this company

we were told an 18 wheeler would move us. The day of the move, a box truck showed up instead. We were told that after they loaded our belongings up, they would then be taken to a transfer station, unloaded and reloaded onto an 18 wheeler. I would not have gone with this company, had I known that, as I believe this is where most of the damage occurred. Every time you unload and reload something, the risk of damage goes up. the men loading us onto the box truck were very careful and did a good job, however, we could not observe the further unload and reload at the transfer station. Our belongings took 2 weeks to arrive to Florida. the base of our dining table was smashed, as well as the base to our coffee table. we were compensated for these damages after deductible, however I also had an antique pedestal broken, which they refused to compensate for, as they said they did not pack it. It was packed in a very sturdy box with Styrofoam bracing, tons of bubble wrap and thick quilted blankets, and still it broke. So basically, anything you pack yourself, they will not cover. I thought this was why we had insurance????? So when interviewing, ask how many times your things will get loaded, unloaded and reloaded.....lesson learned the hard way.

The sales rep providing the estimate was prompt, courteous and professional.  He thoroughly explained the service and how the estimate was calculated.  The actual final bill was based on weight and came in slightly under the quote, which included a not-to-exceed amount.
We packed our own boxes, Ray the Mover picked up and loaded several rooms of furniture, other household items and boxes. The crew loading the truck was on-time, courteous and professional.
The delivery was within the time frame quoted by the sales rep. The items were unloaded in good condition with only a couple of minor scuffs.  No items were lost in transit.  The crew members were friendly, but did seem little rushed and did not have the proper tools for re-assembling furniture pieces.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the company.  They were responsive to our request on a very short notice.

First thing I can say is never use this company, one of if not the worst company out there.  I chose them to move us from NH to Florida, first mistake. The office people talk a good game, but won't tell the truth. Was picked up on July 31 was told 4-10 days for delivery, it was 18. Was given an estimate and then got a call saying it would cost $800 more dollars due on delivery, ok so that's two changes. The load finally arrived over 50% of the boxes were damaged, things broken, furniture scratched. Finally it was all unloaded the driver left. We had a TV a 50" Mitsubishi was packed in a TV box, had one complete roll of bubble wrap around it, pillows packed around it, I unpacked it plugged it in and the screen was shattered with cracks and breaks running through it. I called the office the lady there said well if the box wasn't damaged then it's not their fault. They charge extra because they tell you that when the driver gets here he is hiring a couple
Of people from the office here to unload, another lie, the three that unloaded all told me they were chose from a homeless shelter to do it and they have never unloaded a moving truck before. Overall it was $4000 total to move here and now the cost to replace all the broken items. I warn everyone stay away from this company. I am filing a damage report but they said at the company office it could take 9 months for an answer. HORRIBLE, COMPANY.  keep looking and don't stop here. again DO NOT use this company.

The crew was polite, showed up on time and worked very hard. Our items were stored over night at their facility and then delivered on schedule. We have used different companies over the years as we have moved frequently and this was the first time nothing was damaged. I was very pleased with the job they did and will use them again in the future. Moving is stressful and difficult but the guys made it painless.

They were excellent. We had them pack everything and they had a very professional crew. They packed on day one and loaded the truck on day two. They were able to arrange their schedule around my schedule so that when we got down here, the truck arrived the next morning. They arrived on time. Nothing was missing or broken.

The Crew arrived on time. Paid for 5 men for a move 5 doors down the road. We were charged an hour for their travel to and from their base in Manchester. Two men were experienced, and did a good job. The others were young and took a small cushion for example and twirled around wondering where to put it and what to do next. One of the men was mentally challenged. He dented every wall he could in my new home, especially in the stairwell. They took long breaks, and the job took twice as long as it should have. The cost, because it was a Saturday was very high. About 3 times the price I thought it would be. Glad when they left!
