Giant Landscaping and Snow Removal
About us
Giant Landscaping in Manchester New Hampshire was started in 2003 by Jeff Lavigne with a vision to provide local homeowners and commercial property owners with the best all-around landscaping services money could buy. Having worked for other landscape companies, Jeff learned about the mistakes that landscape companies typically make and set out to create a company that would be different from the rest. Tim Boyle joined up as a partner with Jeff in 2009. When you call Giant Landscaping today, you’ll be greeted by Katie, the office manager. You can always speak directly with Jeff or Tim. If they are not available at the moment, they will return your call promptly.

"We care very much about our clientele, we certainly didn’t build this business to what it is today by treating people poorly over the last 18 years. I’m confident our online reviews and reputation speaks for itself and that others reading this will see through this muddy water. We have no record of having ever provided you an official estimate for bark mulch installation. Our sales person did not meet with you either. We don’t ever offer fixed pricing for this type of work, we’ve been doing it this way successfully for many years. All of our maintenance services are billed by the hour with the exception of bark mulch which is billed by the cubic yard. We do also train our laborers to involve a supervisor when a client needs information and I sincerely apologize if that didn’t happen. Further, when the crew leader running the bark mulch blower arrived to your property he saw a note for 7 yards of mulch, which the office had noted based on your input, [Member Name Removed]. When he looked at the property he mentioned to you in person that that number was certainly way off. You instructed them to provide the service and get the job completed which they went ahead and did at your command. Mulch is priced $85/yard installed. We run a mulch blower which allows us to spread a thin, uniform coating of mulch, saving the client substantially on material cost. There are very few companies equipped this way and we save clients a minimum 20% compared to mulching by hand. Yes we do intend to be paid for the service and materials provided to you. We don’t believe you were treated unfairly. I am very glad to hear the quality of the work was up to par. I did enjoy that portion of your review and I do appreciate your honesty at least in that portion of it."
"Hi [Member Name Removed] Not sure who Carol is, I've never had anyone by that name working for me. I'm sorry you had a bad experience and I do my very best to make sure everyone is happy with the work we do. However the way I remember this going is that you negotiated my original proposal down to a lower price that better fit your budget. I was willing to work with you and lowered my price, but I made it clear at that point that for that lower price I wouldn't be able to repair any lawn damages left by the use of heavy equipment. (You were absolutely warned that ruts in the lawn was a concern, and on my end I advised we do the job once things had dried out to some degree, which it had) I certainly hope anyone reading this can see the price of $340 (stated above by you) is certainly within reason to deliver heavy equipment to a site and move a shed. There simply wasn't any money left over to repair the lawn. We would have been more than willing to do so for a reasonable fee, which was discussed, but it could not be done at no charge. Regards, Jeff"
