I had new windows installed back a few years ago (2007). I still saw curtains move and it felt cold still. Someone had told me about Dicey's Contracting repairing their windows with the same problem. I contacted them and he came right in and told me the problem, it made sense, he also showed me how the window frames of new windows moved which met they were not sealed properly. He says this is common with a lot of window companies. (Cheap or expensive don't always mean it's done right).
I had other companies that wanted to sell me their windows rather than fix what was there. They had prices from 285.00 to about 800.00 for a new window.
Floyd removed the windows and insulated the pockets and resealed the windows. Cut my fuel bill by about 38% when he did this. Told me a window could break while removing, because of install, but didn't break any. He is owner and on job site if he has people working also. I SEE WHERE EXPERIENCE AND PROPER TRAINING REALLY COMES IN. He charged me 125.00 per window and worth every bit. He will be used in future work being done. He will be the first call on any job I need done in future.

"I see this a lot on window installs, its a shame that some company's DO NOT take the time to train properly. Most home owners think new windows will save them money, if not properly installed and sealed it could cost MORE in a year on both heat and ac. I have seen company's come and go. Been doing remolding over 50 years and in business over 40 years. Started with grandfather at the age of 5. Love doing my work and seeing how happy the home owner is when job is complete no matter what job is."
