Watch out for this contractor. He is extremely unethical. I hired him to build a house. Towards the end of the project, he refused to finish the punch list and repair some defective work. But before refusing to finish the job, I agreed to pay him another $12,000 to build two decks for me. He asked for a deposit of $5,000, and wanted to be paid the balance for the decks and the small balance on the house after he finished the decks and punch list/repairs. After I gave him the $5,000, he refused to build the decks or finish the job, and kept my $5,000. I had to hire someone else to finish the punch list, do the repairs, and build the decks, which cost me thousands of dollars. I've been forced to sue him to get my money returned for the work he never did.
