Masonry Work
Had problems from the start. Asked for 1/2 down up front which I provided. Shows up with no equipment. Borrowed my wheel barrow and other garden tools to dig out the site. Started on the 1st raised bed but didn't have enough money to buy the cement to complete it. Asked for an additional $100. which I provided him.
What was supposed to take 3-4 days stretched into MONTHS. Continually promised to show up but never did - one excuse after another. He finally completed one of the raised beds and never finished the second. I finally sent him a certified letter telling him that if the job was not completed by May 31st, the contract will be voided and no additional money would be coming his way. He promised to get it done by then but never showed up. The second raised garden sits uncompleted to this day.
This was a huge disappointment to us because we know Nick. If he treats his friends this way, what will he do with another client. I would NOT recommend Nick Wixon Masonry (Nick Wixon) to anybody. Steer clear and hire a real professional who will show up on time with proper tools and equipment. In my opinion, we talks a good story and will tell you whatever you want to hear but then he does whatever he wants.
