It was terrible. Bergeron is the WORST company EVER. Took them 4 weeks just to replace the plywood sheeting and they buried my flood light wires so we couldn't find them. Left their scaffolding up in front of the garage so we couldn't use it or get the doors repaired for a month. Left a pile of junk (windows, siding, etc.) piled up in the driveway for weeks and when they finally did clean it up they left all the nails on the driveway. AND....they lie.....a LOT......especially Andre, that is if they ever return a phone call which isn't very often. Told me they ordered my windows but when we called the place they supposedly ordered them from were told they had received no such order. Although my shed only needed a very small amount of new siding on one side Andre told me they were going to re side the entire shed and not charge me for the siding or labor because he was "going to do me a favor".......yeah, right. The only favor he ever did me was to quit probably because he was getting tired of me calling him out on all his lies. We found a new contractor and the job was finished within 2 weeks.

See above. It also took several months instead of "two weeks" because the Manager, Andre, never returned our phone calls.

We filed an insurance claim in late May 2011. Don Bergeron of Bergeron Const.  (reccommended by State Farm)  appeared 2 weeks later after numerous calls and took some pictures of the 3rd floor roof area from the ground at an angle that could not possibly show the damage. He said that viewing from the attic was unnecessary and that he didn't have a ladder with him. A week or 2 later (July 11) we recived an insurance estimate which seemed amazingly low. I tried numerous times to find out if the estimate was corrrect;  if we paid all of it ( instead of our insurance company) would the amount increase? I requested an estimater who could climb a ladder to view the damage up close. Don himself appeared 2 more times, declined to climb a ladder (I've been doing this for such a long time that I know whats happening up there.)
After the last visit in early August when I made him look in the attic, I heard nothing more. I called repeatedly asking for info, scheduling, etc, Finally, I was given the date of OCT 4th. There was no contract to sign or anything.
Rain, including epic flooding  continued all through September. On  Oct 4th the worker guys arrived, climbed up a ladder and made some angry sounding noises. I told them about our experience so far. Next thing I knew they had left without a word to us.
(Had they gone to get materials? Had they been called to another job? Was our job beyond what the estimate had indicated? WHO KNEW!) We needed to go out on errands and apointment s, but couldn't leave without knowing if they were coming back.
FInally I called the office in Keene. "We called them back in. It is pouring rain." "It is not raining here in Brattleboro. When will they come back?" "Tomorrow."
The guys came back the next day and worked for about 3 hours. "All Done!" "Really? I thought it was more damaged than that!"
Today our carpenter ( who is building a small exit porch on the same side of the building) looked at their work  from his new porch roof and noticed that the slates were not properly installed, that there appeared to have been no work done on structure and sheathing. Not having a 3 story ladder with him, he inspected the inside of the roof from the attic above the 3rd story and discovered that there is some interiror water damage and signs of work that still needs to be done.
He says,"They made it look pretty and it might last for 2-3 years, but it isn't fixed."
