"Thank you [removed member name], your home is big and we enjoy being in it. If you ever need more work done in other rooms please just let us know and we would be happy to do more. I will share your review with the team members. Thanks again..."
"I notice this review a while ago. I was hoping she would change it. I did get a hold of her and now cleaning for her for a few months now. My web site was new to me and my e-mails did not even come to me. My web designer had to fix something to do with that. I was also away on vacation at the time Shelley was trying to get a hold of me. Summer time I can be hard to get a hold of because of summer clients and rentals. But if you can not get me by e-mail please call. 532-4227."
The only somewhat negative experience that I had was more a misunderstanding about their billing then anything else. When I initially met with the owner she stated that the cost was approximately $25 an hour (give or take a little depending on your location). This seemed reasonable to us and was right in line with what we paid in the Boston area. I was surprised to get the first bill and asked if there may have been an error. I was told that the fee is $25 (or so) per girl, per hour. So, every time there were two or more people here (usually 3) it cost about $50-$75 per hour. When we lived in Boston we were charged $25 per hour for the crew, and were visited by 5 or so people at the time of cleaning. This was beneficial for them because they could get in and out and take more houses on any given day.
The plus side of this for Dust to Shine (and myself) is that your house gets done quicker. The downside is the obvious cost. All in all it averaged out. We ended up paying for 2-3 girls about two hours. We would have probably paid one person the same amount for 5 hours of work. It all worked out okay it just could have been clearer from the start.
I would recommend Dust to Shine to others and will have no problem working with them again in the future.
I also like the fact that Donna will meet special needs like the care of my dining room chairs and the cleaning of my upholstered furniture.
One thing I was uncertain about was how it would be to have a team do the cleaning. Donna did a great job of allocating the work and managing the team and training them to do my home in the future. I thought that the team was managed well and that having 3 or 4 people doing the work made it go much more quickly.
now. They are always very thorough and professional. I have had them
come to do windows, upholstery, and a "deep clean" from time to time and
they are always very accommodating with the scheduling. The ladies who
work for Dust to Shine are very personable and communication is good. I
know there is one reviewer on here who gave them an "F", but I find it
hard to believe that everything they have said is accurate.
Unprofessional. Was not prompt nor considerate. Said they will be there in a half hour and never showed up after waiting an hour and a half.
"We did clean for this customer 2 years ago and they were very happy with our service. We had scheduled for a particular day and I asked what was the best time to do the job. We were told not to call before 11 am so we decided to do morning jobs first and call to set-up time after. We called them at 12:30 to let them know that we would be there between 1 and 1:30. At 1:45 we were almost to there home and they called to tell us not to bother cleaning their house, they were yelling and screaming over the phone. Fifteen minutes late is reasonable in the cleaning industry for once in a clients home the job must be finished to satisfactory before moving on to the next job. Even though it was later in the afternoon we did have two cleaning crews to go to this job to have it done in a timely fashion."
