Big & Small Auto Repair

I brought my vehicle in in hthe early afternoon for an inspection, last day of the month. I did nto receive a call until 5 minutes before 5 telling me the vehicle failed and that i needed repaitrs done. I asked how much oh 150 give or take. I said give me a minute and I called another repair shop a few miles away and asked for an estimate over the phone 100 but theycould do an alternative repair for less. I called back and asked Big and Small to do the alternative repair they said they would not. I had no other choice than to authorize them to do the work as the vehicle would have been illegal to drive the next day without the inspection sticker. I do not get a call until 4:20 the next day and the bill I was mistakenly told was 199.90, by my son. I sent a check with him to pick up the vehicle this is at 5 and they refuse to accept the check because it is written for 20 dollars ove rhte bill. I am a little upset and say that my girlfriend is not home and i can not write another check on her account but would be more than willing to write a bad one on my account. I asked Please just accept the check and give me the change..."we are not a bank...no" They locked the vehicle in the station for the night and I have an appointment this morning that I have to be at for my youngest sons schooling. Prior to this they had repaired a front bearing in the vehicle and two weekds later by rotors are warpped they were new a year before. I asked if there wa sany chance that by heating up the bearing that they warpped the rotor oh no... I know better
