I'll continue using them in the future. Their diagnostics are very accurate and they make the animals feel comfortable.
I brought my cat for the first time to Countryside Animal Hospital. He had been having digestive problems. My cat does not like going to any vets so I only bring him when it's really necessary.
The things that I liked about Countryside Animal Hospital:
- They listened well to my concerns before examining the cat.
- They were professional and caring.
- When my cat began to growl during the examination I told them that I could calm the cat down and move him into the position that they needed. They agreed and it worked out well.
The thing that I was not thrilled about:
After the examination they needed to draw blood. To do this, they brought the cat into the back room while I waited in the examination room. I waited for about 10 minutes while I heard my cat scream and hiss almost the entire time. Since my cat has screamed at other vets, this didn't surprise me. However, being in a separate room and not seeing what was happening sent shivers down my spine. I had never been to a vet where they draw blood in a separate room from the owner.
When the blood tests came back the vet explained everything in detail over the phone and answered questions. She prescribed a different diet for the cat (prescription food ). He is to try it for a month. So far he's been eating it for a week.
Overall, I liked the vet, but didn't like the experience of him being taken into a separate room.
I am not sure if the price I paid for the blood test was high, low, or average.
The vets there love animals. You can tell when you walk in that they really love the animals.
