About us

Chamberlin Electric is a full service electrical company that performs residential & commercial electrical work as well as generator installation, maintenance and repairs. We have been serving Hudson, NH and the surrounding areas since 1989. In 2007, we chose to work together with Generac Power Systems to become a generator dealer. In September of 2009, we became a Certified Elite Generac dealer. Our technicians are factory trained at the Generac factory in Wisconsin on installation, maintenance and how to properly troubleshoot generators. Once a year, we send our technicians back to Generac for further training to stay up to date with new techniques. From January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010 we have sold and installed over 200 generators and currently maintain over 400 generators in the NH and MA areas. Had some issues with my circuit breaker box and Chamberlain came early on a Saturday and fixed what could've been a bad situation. Very happy with their quality of work, timliness and price. Couldn't ask for more.

We had a generac all house generator install in 2018. I am not a person that leaves reviews but for this company I will. They are a great company to do business with. You will always speak to a person when calling for service or information. Their office people are very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Service prices have remained the same for the last 3 years. Service tech are first class, know what they are doing and will answer any questions. We had Shane today and he was great. Whenever we have called their response is within a few days. Best company we have ever worked with. We highly recommend them.

Iâ ve written 850 detailed reviews on TripAdvisor, and Iâ m not an easy grader. Itâ s pretty rare that I share comments about service providers in social media, but I am more than happy to endorse Chamberlin Electric. This is a well run company with good people, great talent, and wonderful integrity. My experience stems from Chamberlin taking over a completely botched generator installation through Home Depot by another company that went belly-up. They were the complete opposite of Chamberlin -- never following through on commitments, not responding to voice or written communications, and doing such shoddy work that new customers could never be serviced. In contrast, Chamberlin has been polite, punctual, responsive, and professional. They employed best practices in installing my Generac that the previous company did not follow, perhaps leading to their problems. Iâ ve met the owner, Rick, a man who truly takes pride in his company and treats his customers with TLC (such as personal callbacks to troubleshoot issues). Iâ ve also dealt with three different electricians whoâ ve done good work, the outsourced gas technician who performed his role without a hitch, and of course Mandi and Doreen by phone who are a pleasure. They manage the office and backend operations, keep communications flowing smoothly, and keep the customer on top. To me, theyâ ve done a great job on the front line, keeping folks to schedule, responding promptly to my needs, and making my life easy -- like processing paperwork for rebates. In sum, Chamberlin is a quality company that knows its trade inside and out and earns the respect of its customer base. Five stars.

A brand new generator that would not start after a couple of months. Turns out it was a loose wire behind the starter, however Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Individuals that actually do the work, repairs and came to my house were awesome. Calling multiple times and promised callbacks, but never returned. Finally fixed my brand new generator, loose wire, and then decide to bill me when I was never told that I would be charged. Technician that came to my house to drop off told me that he could have fixed that in 5 minutes if he checked it out first. Took it back to shop, returned it a week later. Charged me for delivery and repair - never told or ask.

All portable generator repairs are done at our warehouse. I am sure our office would be more than happy to discuss the outstanding invoice with you. Company responded to set appointment same day. Tech came as scheduled. Jackson - the tech - was very knowledgeable and addressed the problem w/ my 8 year old Generac generator. Also provided me with w/ information in reference to maintenance I should be doing on a regular basis. I would recommend Chamberlain Electric for generator service. Thank You for the excellent service.

Made a quick contact after the request for a installation of a ceiling fan was sent in and set up an appointment for the next day. The next day in the morning get an email saying that they would charge me $220 for a house call (which did not even include the installation of the fan) which was ridiculous.So based on this experience i would not recommend them to anyone

"I believe what was said is that it would be $135 for the first hour and $110 for evey hour after that. There might have been some mis-communication. We did offer the customer a quote and if he liked the quote we would do the work the same day."

Quick response. However, despite telling them in the request and on the phone that I needed heat tape replaced, they came out and tried to charge me over $100 to tell me they couldn't do anything. They had an idea that they couldn't and I did say on the phone that I didn't want to pay to have someone come out, look at the job and say 'Sorry, $100 please'. That happened anyway. I talked them down a little bit. I essentially am back where I started a little poorer for the experience.

I received a quick reply to my request for service. They were able to get a crew to my house within 2 hours. They had a replacement part, although I am not sure it was a direct replacement as they had to beat on it a lot to get it to fit. My problem appears to be fixed. I did get sticker shock from the cost of the work, particularly being charged $25 for the "truck" in addition to over $100 for 10 minutes work.
