Land Surveying
Upon arriving on site in November 2011 Mr Gary Flaherty stated that he had no idea why a Wetland Survey survey was requested by the Town stating there are no wetlands around here." He spent minimal time on site and departed - charging us $380 for his survey.
In June 2012, when approached by the Town for a memorandum via email from Mr. Flaherty for the same property to verify that the additional footings did not encroach on wetlands, Mr Flaherty telephoned the Town of Wolfeboro Building Inspector, drafted and e-mailed her a memorandum and invoiced us $165 for these services.
We contested this second fee for writing the email memorandum as excessive charges for services rendered. Upon doing so, Mr. Flaherty threatened to take us to small claims court if we did not pay the $165.00. Although we never contracted his services, rather our builder did, we had no control over his fees and we were not told what these fees would be upfront.
