Todd Randlett Trucking

This company bought out a previous company that had done this work for us for years. Following the transition, we found that Mr. Randlett or his workers either didn't show up, or showed up late. They regularly failed to follow instructions, telling us they already knew what to do. Their negligence resulted in damage to a section of our dock. This past fall, they left our paddle boat out on sawhorses directly under eaves. Snow and ice fell on it all winter, breaking it and leaving it damaged beyond repair. In both cases, Mr. Randlett said either that there was no definitive proof that his workers had been responsible. In the case of the paddle boat, he claimed he had been waiting for a call to put it away, even though one of us made as special trip up to supervise his work, and had instructed him to take care of it following our departure. Mr. Randlett has repeatedly refused to take any responsibility for the damage, leaving us with a dock and a paddle boat to replace. We have talked with neighbors who have had similar experiences (although one does say he has worked out well for her). My complaint is that Mr. Randlett seems to look for any reason he can find to duck responsibility, leaving the client to clean up the mess. We have fired him and found another company to do the same work. We hear that other neighbors have done the same.
