Wayne took over two years to finish a four day job. We ended up having to reach out to him weekly to get him to finish what he had started. Since he had taken thousands of dollars up front we continued to nag him to finish the work. We asked for a refund multiple times and he would suddenly agree to show up...not come when he said he would...and then promise to come the next day. The windows he provided were missing sashes and he never completed the project. I would absolutely avoid using him.

When I returned home 10 days later, I saw that the repair on one spot covered in black slate was replaced with brown slate. On another side, metal shows around the edges of pieces of slate where it did not before. Also the pieces near the peak were lifted up by the hurricane were not repaired. Similarly, in the back of the house there are some pieces missing and the roofer had agreed to replace tiles wherever they were missing.It took me over two weeks to get in touch with the roofer because he never returned my calls. Once I reached him he told me that his child had erased all the contacts in his phone, and that brown slate is because he didn't have any black pieces with him. He then said he didn't fix the slate where the metal is because it was work performed by some other company as he never used that type of material and he didn't want to do the repair until he spoke to me. He could have reached me on my cell phone or spoken with my nephew. I stated the only roofer to work on the roof since I owned the house (7+ years) was he or his brother-in-law. He agreed to come over in a couple of days to fix what was left undone and to replace the brown slate with black pieces. Needless to say he still has not shown up after several unreturned calls. On 12/9/12 I left him a message to come out and fix the repair on Tuesday or Wednesday or just return my money and I would have someone else fix the job.
