This guy is a crook. Sabotaged my A/C unit. 2nd floor A/C unit stopped working. Came out and said the whole system needed to be replaced. Did a lousy job of that and it doesn't even blow very cold. Kept telling me the 1st floor unit needed to be replaced too due to "strange readings". Next day (coincidentally) the 1st floor unit stopped working. He kept calling pressuring me to replace the 1st floor unit. I got suspicious so I called another contractor to look at the 1st floor unit. They said the system was bone dry and that it looked like someone had drained it. Run, don't walk away from this company. Too top it all of he massively overcharged me for the 2nd floor unit. Over $8000. Most HVAC contractors around here are either incompetent or dishonest. This guy is both.

Repaired over 2 days as they needed parts. Returned & fixed, charged $1,000. The next morning we smelled gas & called Unitil. We had to wait outside in the cold with our daughters 10 month old baby. We were told there was a leak & had not been tightened properly. We are proceeding with complaint with NH. Attorney General Office. We would not recommend this Company.

Problem diagnosed and fixed very quickly with a healthy sense of humor. Very reasonable price.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. They did their own "electrical work" without pulling a permit. When we (luckily) had our electrician out for an unrelated matter, he found the Coastal electrical work to be actively dangerous. We had to have it completely redone. They also left the duct work in the attic UNATTACHED! There were other issues, these were just the two big ones.

Coastal Heating saved me from a disaster after my pipe froze during a January deep freeze this past Saturday as water was  pouring from the pipe into my basement. I called several companies and only got voicemail. Jon answered my call and heard the panic in my voice when I said I had to shut off my furnace in subzero temperatures.   He sent out a service repair technician and no further damage happened.  I highly recommend this company for their quick, reliable response when I needed my furnace repaired right away!

Very frustrating considering the amount of money spent on the system..

He was prompt and reasonable. It was actually at a rental property of mine and he was willing to work with my tenant as opposed to pulling me out of work. So that was kind of nice. Sometimes the service providers that I've worked with only want to deal with the person that actually owns the property and not the tenant. I kind of liked the fact that he was willing to do that. I also liked that he quoted me towards cash rebate that I was eligible for because of choosing Nstar qualified products that I wouldn't have otherwise known about. I've got him bookmarked in case I ever need anymore work done up there. He got kudos from my tenant as well.

The good- he was prompt and responded quickly on a Saturday.
The bad- he didn't know what was wrong and ended up guessing about the problem.  Once he realized that his "fixes" didn't actually work his only next step was to say that I needed to buy a whole new AC system which he quoted at a range from 1000$ for a new evaporator coil to 5000$ for a new system. (My house and AC is 6 yrs old, so I do not need a new system).  This waste of my time costed 750 for him and 230 for the other person I hired to come and fix the problems he had caused.  Wouldn't you feel bad charging them 750 bucks when you didn't fix the problem?

Jon and his team were outstanding.  We met with several contractors to discuss the work that we needed done.  Jon's recommendation met our needs exactly... all of the other tried to upsell us to a more expensive solution.   Something that we clearly didn't need and had made very clear prior to these meetings taking place.  Jon clearly understood our need, researched and found a furnace, and subsequently installed it on time and for a reasonable price.  Jon even brought floor protection with him because he wanted to be sure that the hardwood in our home was protected.  Net/net... Coastal does business the way it should be done.  A rarity in today's world in my opinion / experience.   I would recommend Jon / Coastal without reservation. 

Actually they were very efficient.  The price was good for the size of the unit that we got.  When the installers were installing the system, they had to put a pipe through the roof and they apparently tore a little place in the roof insulation.  There was an open spot up there on the roof which we spotted.  The next day my husband called them, and within an hour there were two supervisors out here doing it themselves.  They were here to correct the problem and were very apologetic.  The product is excellent.  I’m sure we will call them again because we have three systems and we are under a maintenance contract with them.  They were very responsive.  We will use their services again in the future.
