Woke up on a Saturday morning to learn that there was no hot water in the house. Terrible time to have an issue as we had +7 family/guests in the house visiting. Went to the basement to discover the furnace controller was in a safety "lock out" mode. Reset attempts were unsuccessful. Without the furnace running, we were without hot water (indirect heating). Contacted our oil supply company (Hartmann Oil) calling service (weekend) who in turn paged their weekend emergency on-call folks. I was called back within 30 mins and had an estimated visit by a tech by midday. Russ with NIBROC works as a sub-contractor for them and was very responsive and arrived midday as promised. Russ was super nice and described and showed me in detail the cause of the problem. Repair took an hour or less and we were all fixed. He even took the time to recalibrate our system to account for resets that morning. Would definitely work with NIBROC again even for non-emergency needs.
Description of Work: Replaced a bad pump coupling and failed controller on our steam furnace.
