First, they installed the system in April 2014 at about $800 for mostly labor. The alarm system and equipment I had already paid for and provided. They told me that the system would be under warranty. They also told me there would be an additional cost of $40 a month which they wanted up front to monitor the system for a year (which I paid). I could have home monitoring for only $8.95 with someone else but I thought I was paying for service coverage to the system. We have a land line phone for the alarm system with a few phones outlets. We use cell phones for our communication. The system was working fine and only faulted after we lost power for three days for the "Thanksgiving storm." Monadnock connected me that the phone line was dead. So after verifying that there was a dial tone off the modem from Comcast and that the phone line was working but not the alarm. I called them and gave them my findings. They sent out a service man to my home the next day. He spent 3 1/2 hours looking for the problem. Finally he said he found a fault in one of the unused outlet jacks and that was the reason nothing work?. Remember the system and phones all worked before the storm. The outlet jack where he said the problem was had no phone on it.
I soon found out the service call was not free, not under warranty but a charge of $343.00.
Do not get ripped off by this company like I did.
