+ -1 moreRaymond Defosses did excellent work and was very professional. We needed to have him return to test the antifreeze even though we had asked him to test it when he was doing the other work for us. When he returned we were charged a $75.00 set up fee. We asked about this fee and was told it would be included any time he needed to come to do work at,our home. I feel this fee is excessive. The labor and material charges were a little high but worth the extra expense because of the quality of the work.
Description of Work: replaced water piping with Uponor/Wirsbo Aquapex pipe and plastic fittings, Replaced boiler hot water coil and repaired a leak in a heat pipe. Came back another day to test antifreeze in boiler and and add more antifreeze.

+ 0 moreThe estimate and both jobs went very well. I found Ray to be very responsive to all my questions about the products he planned to install for us via both email and phone. The installation of all units went perfectly smoothly--no problems at all. Ray went above and beyond, offering to build a shelf in the basement so that particular heating unit would not have to sit on the floor.
Description of Work: My husband and i recently purchased a vacation home in New Hampshire, which needs a bit of work and renovation. I found Ray on Angie's List originally because we wanted a plumber to look at the basement during the inspection phase of the sale to tell us if we would be able to put in a bathroom. I called Ray, explained what I needed and that time was short, and he agreed to come the next day to take a look and give me a free estimate. He came prepared with brochures about the products we would need. He also took time with us looking around the basement to figure out where we would be able to install a toilet, sink, and shower. He answered all our questions, fincluding questions about propane fired heating units. He told us he was a Rinnai dealer and would send us some information. We had an estimate for the basement bathroom job AND for installing the propane units the next day. We decided to wait to finish the basement until a future date, but we did go ahead and hire Ray to install two Rinnai propane, direct vent furnaces and one Rinnai on-demand hot water tank. We also hired Ray to install one Centurion water filtration system, and one Hydroflow water purifying unit. We could not be home for this install, so I left him a key so he could get in the house. When the job was completed, he emailed me to let me know.

+ -1 moreExcellent. Ray was professional and very helpful with making good choices with the size of the heating units. He also alerted us to a rebate from the company as well as a tax rebate. Job completed in just two days. Very pleased with his work.
Description of Work: Ray installed an on demand water heater and a direct vent heater. Did all work, hook up, testing and clean up.
