The job went very well.  The contractor did te work in a timely fashion and did an excellent job.

He was a very careful worker and he was highly skilled. He was there every time he said he was going to be. His quality was just outstanding.

Great, quick fix.

They were supposed to send me an estimate for the job by e-mail, but they never sent it or followed up. They verbally told me the cost and what they could do, but never heard from them again. They came out when they said they would, looked at it and said they could do it. I was aggravated that I took the time out to go and meet them and they never followed up. They never gave me a price, but verbally told me that it would cost a lot of money. They were responsive and on time. I would not use them again.

They are so unprofessional, they left material on the roof, and it was a horrible experience. It has caused a lot of stress on us. In January 2009, our roof began to leak. David refuses to come and even look at it. Do not buy into his 15 year warranty because he?ll never honor it. We have called and tried to find resolution with him, and his wife has screamed at us and stated that he would never come to look and the roof. Her exact words were ?don?t ever call here again?. We hired someone else to fix these repairs ($1,000 deductable) our insurance estimated the damage to be $6,000. We then had to pay an additional $800 out of pocket---for work that was supposed to be warranted 15 years. This we have in writing although he wont honor it.

David showed up promptly when expected, 3:00 on a Friday afternoon. He was quick to grab his ladder and inspect the work area on the roof. He offered a few suggestions about the work to be done, and was willing to tackle other projects not necessarily related to the roofing work also. He did an estimate on the spot. All in all, David seemed to be a good fit, but a little unorganized. Possibly normal for his work method, possbily a result of a hectic schedule that day.

David was asked to replace a stove vent, find and install a skylight, drywall the area between the skylight and the kitchen ceiling, and remove two sun tubes. He was prompt, neat, efficient and very professional in all of his work, but I want to point out especially the complicated dry-walling that needed to be done in the skylight shaft. The usually-flat materials actually curve to conform to the inside of the shaft. In addition, since the house this was put into is a former hunting lodge, David needed to beef up the ceiling structure which is made of 2 x 4's laid flat. His solution yielded a ceiling far stronger than what was there in the first place. Being as satisfied as we are, we have since engaged David to install our kitchen cabinets as that is another area of skills he has.

The first time he was responsive to request for estimate; thorough in evaluation and description; delivered exactly what was discussed as promised. The second time I gave him a job, in Oct 2010, he never had a chance to do the work as he got sent to JAIL for some past transgression after his wife kicked him out and locked up his tools. Needless to say there was obviously another side to him that I didn't see the first time.

We found Dave through Angies List and noted prior customers comments and A ratings. He was responsive to our calls and was able to provide us an estimate within days of contacting him. I was impressed that he took pictures of the area in question and then showed us his concerns and how he would fix it. We agreed on the work involved and the price was on the lower side of other estimates. Since it was a small job he was able to schedule the work on a Saturday and completed it that day. He also took pictures after the work was completed to show and explain what he had done. Overall Dave was professional, thorough and a pleasure to deal with.

Laroque's was 1 of 3 roofing companies I contacted. Dave's quote was in the middle. What impressed me about Dave was that he was the only contractor that showed up with a ladder and actually got on my roof. Also when I mentioned we didn't want the snow belt removed (which was acceptable to the other 2 contractors) he replied, "Oh no. When I strip a roof, I strip the whole roof." In talking with Dave I had a sense he took pride in his work. The job was done in 2 days and all debris removed from our property. My husband was pleased to see the shingles had been extended a little over the picture window thus preventing any water leaking inside the window. I had not thought to mention this problem to Dave and now it's something we don't have to worry about. Dave also sealed around the vent pipe and replaced the vent cap with a newer style that blends in more with the roof than the previous one. The roof looks terrific and we're very pleased with the experience.

This company is great! We had roof and inside damage from the December 2008 ice storm. The Company did what it said it would do, at the time an price specified.
