When the water overflow tank was daignosed as broken, again they were very responsive and good about keeping us informed about when they could fix it.
I don't really know if the price they charged was good or not - we really did not take the time to shop around.
to work with. They are also very fair in their pricing. We recommend
them to anyone in the area.
I have updated our review. After the last service call, the problems with the furnace have been fixed. I believe they are now working with a different installation company which should match with their customer service end of things (which as i said was always excellent) we are still waiting for them to come back this summer to complete a few odds and ends and as soon as that work is completed i will give a final review

"This is not the way D.F. Richard Energy does business and we are the most honest/fair company around. This natural gas customer had called us to install an on demand water heater 6 months ago. We completed a walk through and installed the water heater for him. The water heater was installed to manufacturers instructions and there were no safety issues. Another contractor came to the job to connect a new natural gas range that the customer had bought and needed to install the gas piping for this appliance. In order to install the piping to the range, the existing piping had to be reworked to accommodate the extra line. At this point the contractor decided that he would talk negatively about our work. The city inspector also came to the job to inspect the new lines to the gas range once this contractor was finished with his work. He didn't see the existing piping before this contractor had removed all of it to rework the piping to accommodate his new gas range. He then started to scare the customer with false comments. This is when we got the phone call from the customer. As soon as we received the phone call, the service manager and I responded to the home to find out exactly what was wrong so that we could make sure it was taken care of. We met with the range installer and the homeowner. We had used a small piece of Counterstrike Tracpipe to go from the existing black iron to the new water heater. Omegaflex, the manufacturer of this Counterstrike indicates in their instruction manual that this pipe does not need additional bonding if it connected to a bonded appliance, which it was. There is no safety issue here. The only other thing the inspector had a problem with was a relief valve from the water heater needed to be piped to within 6" of the floor. Again, not a safety issue, but more a cosmetic item. He never had anything to say about the one on the boiler right beside the water heater that was not piped to within 6" of the floor. Once I arrived back at the office I called the homeowner and scheduled a time for a technician to come back over and extend the relief valve to within 6" of the floor. I also had the technician do the one on the boiler while he was there, at no charge. I then called the contractor that installed the range and asked him how much he thought it cost him to rework the gas piping to accommodate his new piping. He told me $150 would more than cover the cost associated with this. I called the customer and explained this to him. We did not pull a permit when the water heater was installed because there was all ready a water heater there and we were just replacing it. We have since pulled a permit and will be meeting the inspector for inspection of the system in the short future. As I said in the beginning of this narrative, D.F. Richard Energy will ONLY provide top quality service and installation. If there is ever an issue we will be the first to act on it. We will ALWAYS back up all our work we complete, and try to make sure every customer is satisfied. If there are ever any questions or concerns, please make sure you contact our office so we can rectify the situation as soon as possible.
