We should have stopped the project the moment the foreign-born installer walked in the door and believed he could lay the ceramic tile on top of the old vinyl. Fortunately a phone call to the owner stopped that immediately. Then, we came to find out they sold us a product (electric heating mats) that they had never installed before. They finally called out an electrician to work on it - who then proceeded to ignore the installation instructions. Then the tile installer proceeded to install broken tiles, "fixing" them by grouting the cracks. Given all that we observed, we requested a written copy of their warranty for our records, which they took 6 weeks to provide. Unfortunately, the seasonal buckeling of the floors only showed up after the warranty expired, leaving us with more broken tiles and grout cracks. Overall a very disappointing experience for the very expensive price.
