"As with most highly negative reviews, the client used selective information to make us look bad. Despite this, I do recommend [Member Name Removed] as a client. He has a clear vision for what he wants, a drive to get things done, and a strong desire to deliver the best for his family. Unfortunately he lacks patience. Our timeline was changed several times due to design changes and LONG lead times on the custom work ordered. The custom cabinets had a 5 week wait, and [Member Name Removed] wanted to know why we couldn't get them in the next week. We had explained the timeline several times, changed it when design changes came in, and [Member Name Removed] cut ties ("fired") when we couldn't get the cabinets to come in any faster. The project was broken up into 3 phases: Demolition, Prep, and final installation. [Member Name Removed] "fired" us before the planned end of phase 2, Prep. We were down to punch list items, rather than the large, incomplete tasks mentioned in the review. The final phase 2 date had also not arrived when we parted company. [Member Name Removed] indicates that 32% of the budget was on work that needed to be redone. This is an intention misrepresentation designed to lead other, possible clients to believe we had to redo more than 33k in work. This is untrue. We had to redo several pieces of electrical work totaling just over $1000. This redo was 100% our fault due to poor communication with the electrician. The subfloor work was done in quite the opposite manner portrayed here. The building is old, loose, and uneven. When we finished with the subfloor, [Member Name Removed] remarked that the squeaking was gone and it had never (not) sounded so good. We didn't earn a 5-star on this job. Though we certainly don't deserve the 1-star, "wish I could give less," rating. The job wasn't done, deadlines were not missed, and the quality of everything we did was high. Plus the house is gorgeous and a ton of fun to work on."
