Description of Work: I was refered to Leonard Builders by someone who knew the owner. I hired them to repair damage to my home siding and decks caused by years of water damage that I was not aware of. A second contract was also done, since there was more damage than could be seen before the siding was removed.I thought their price was rather high, but having no other options, went ahead with the work.I am an older widow, and know little about this type of work.The workmen they sent were fine. They seemed to be doing a good job.When the siding was delivered, I questioned it since it had a different surface than what was on the house. I was told when it was painted, "you will never know the difference."The contract was never completed. After my doing the painting myself, my home looks like it has stripes because of the difference in the woods surface. I learned that my siding is "rough sawn, not smooth shiplap. This company furnished a cheap smooth shiplap.My new deck boards off the kitchen area are cracked and warped enough to catch yourself on some of them. I saw the installer use a board straightener a few times.All my outside lighting and electrical boxes were left hanging and exposed to the elements. A supervising employee came to my home after the workmen left. He came on two occasions and told me I owed them a lot more money than what was in the contract. When I questioned him about the problems, I asked for an itemized statement and never heard from them again.I sent them the money in final payment of the two contracts, even though they never completed the work, or rectified the issues.I feel like I got taken!
