Total Climate Control

They installed a new boiler using existing pipe and furnace enclosure but charged the same money as new furnace; plus they still owe me the warranty discount refund from the furnace manufacturer. I question the integrity of TCC.

I called into total climate control today to have my hot water mix valve replaced. I already knew this was my problem and stated this to the receptionist. She told me it would be $94 to have the service tech out to my house. I accepted as I assumed they would come to my house to fix my valve. The technician arrived at my house, as I greeted him he asked what the problem was. I told him I needed a mix valve replaced, immediately he told me he couldn't do it today but to let him see it. After showing him he went to his truck, after a few minutes came back to my door and gave me a quote for $640. I laughed and asked if he was joking, as the repair is pretty simple if you have the soldering tool. He said they are flat rate and that's what it cost. I told him there's no way I am posting that kind of money for one valve, so they proceeded to still charge me a $94 "diagnosis" fee, which they did not even do, I told them the problem over the phone and to the tech before be even walked into my house. After feeling ripped off, I found a licensed plumber who is a family friend, told me to buy the $90 part and he will install for $100 (actually he said he'd do it for free, but I don't believe in charity work as I work in the service world). In summary, don't use this company, they are a huge rip off, way over charge, and I just can't believe they take advantage of people like this.
