"Our office is located in Manchester NH. We charge $10.00 travel fee for all locations 10 miles away to help cover traveling costs, gas and tolls. We do not charge by the job but by the hour. Our hourly rate is $37.99 per hour, per person, which is advertised on angieslist and our website.. We do provide free estimates. If clients do not wish to set up a time for us to see job prior to performing work, it is a greater chance that the estimate is subject to change; it could increase or decrease due to not knowing exactly what level/ time the job will require to complete the cleaning. This is also listed in our written estimates we provide our clients before going out to perform cleaning. Danielle Owner Glass Slipper Cleaning"
"Dear Mrs.{Member's name removed}, When you initially set up the appointment by phone, I explained to you without coming out to see what was needed for time prior to scheduling the estimate, there might be more time/ money needed to complete the job. You stated you just wanted to book the cleaning anyway and did not need me to come out and provide you an confirmed quote. This was a first time cleaning and did require more then 4 man hours of labor, as I expected for being a first cleaning. The big deal which you purchased through angieslist, states more time can be purchased for additional $37.99 per hour. The reason for my call was to inform you that as I expected there was 2 more man hours, which was needed to complete the cleaning and it would be an additional charge of $37.99 per hour per person. I tried to call you directly but was unable to reach you, so I called your husband and got the ok that he would cover the extra time/money so we could complete the cleaning. We never would charge more without getting permission prior, which we did from your husband. He also informed me that he called you and discussed this with you and that you were the one that made the payment for the additional time through paypal, which it showed your name on the paypal receipt. I never heard from you that day that there was a problem with the additional cost till now. I was very upfront with you in the beginning informing you of the charges and that the estimate of time was provided sight unseen and was subject to change due to condition, You scheduled the cleaning anyway. It is unfortunate that you feel we were unprofessional, because we tried from point A-Z to be very upfront and honest with you and put in the time which was needed to provide your daughter quality cleaning. I did speak with your daughter after cleaning was performed and she was very pleased with her cleaning. Thank you for your business, it is appreciated. If you would like to talk more regarding this. I can be reached at 603-731-6965. Danielle Friolet Owner Glass Slipper Cleaning 6037316965"
In addition, Danielle (the owner) is very responsive. She returns calls immediately and is always willing to make scheduling changes when needed. On the few occasions that I have had a concern, Danielle does all she can to make things right and to satisfy my needs. She really wants her customers to be pleased and it shows!

I wanted everything to be spotless. I was afraid of as asthma attack, which happened once, when the youngest child wandered off, and opened the door where I had the cats contained and patted one. In minutes she was all red, her face puffy, and had trouble breathing. So I really stressed about careful vacuuming of rugs, floors, furniture, and dusting everything in sight. She knew I was helpless since I had a serious "Closed head concussion" and wasn't supposed to do much of anything, even moving my head hurt..
When her girl arrived, alone, and late, I was shocked. I'd never seen her before, and usually" Silver Slipper" works in teams. I asked her name, which I promptly forgot (concussion symptom), and told her to start in the living room because I wanted to take a shower and wake myself up.
After the shower I dressed and went into the living room and noticed that she was vacuuming the rug with a 4" brush. I asked her how she expected to get deep dirt up with an upholstery brush. Then she admitted that she forgot the brushes that belonged inside the vacuum, that it was empty. I told her to use my small pole SHARK, because it would have more suction and made her do the rugs over. It needed to be emptied twice, on two rugs, which showed how well the little brush worked. Then I noticed the coffee table, with it's glass top all streaked. It looked like clouds on the top of the glass. When I asked her what she used she showed me a container of Clorox bathroom cleaner. I started doing a slow burn. she had done my granite counter tops, and used the same stuff on those. I ran my hand on top on the counter tops, and they felt gritty, and had crumbs on them. Then I realized that she hadn't moved the toaster oven or, paper towels off the counter. I called her over, asked her to hold out her hand, and wiped my hand on hers, and asked her how it felt. No REPLY. Just a grimace. At this point I'd had enough. I asked her to leave. She requested a check, saying she'd washed the floors, and cleaned the rugs and did my bathrooms. I wrote the check.
As she was getting in her car, I noticed "dust bunnies" on the hardwood floor, and a lot on lint on the carpet where I stood in the doorway. I told her she did a lousy job and I wanted my check back, to re-write it. She accused me of yelling at her and said she was going to call the police, as my neighbor across the street stood in her doorway with a phone in her hand., Then she said she was going to tell Danielle that I never paid her, to get ME in trouble, and I said, "go head honey, I'll have your job". Closed the door, and called Danielle. Who still insisted I owed her money. For "Travel" . Since it was the girls car and I had to re-do all the work when I was supposed to be lying still in bed, I wouldn't bend. Some people are money hungry. She had two years of revenue behind her that could have continued but because she didn't treat her help well the turn over was huge ( I often heard the girls talking), and she let me go, because she messed up.
This time, she didn't train the person she sent me, even though I specified special needs for an important occasion in my life,. Who sends out a maid, without a bucket full of cleaning materials and a mop? And a pleasant attitude?. Good Luck
"My worker arrived to clean and it was to my understanding that you were not happy with some of the work that she did. She did travel 45 minutes one way 1.5 hours round trip to clean your home, which is a $35.00 charge that was agreed upon on the initial estimate. When you voiced you were not happy with the work she offered to redo anything that was not done and make it to your satisfaction, at no additional cost. You began yelling at her like you did to me over the phone and hung up on me when trying to talk to you to resolve the problem. I was more than willing to send another worker out the following morning, before your company arrived to re-clean since you were not happy with this workers cleaning. You never returned my calls or replied back. When you initial called to inform me you were not pleased you left a message stating you did not pay and would send $50.00 for her work or you wanted to have me send another worker, which I was more than willing to do either or. I value all my clients business and if at anytime things are not right I am willing to make them right. I have never heard back from you till now and no payment that you said you would make has been made. Danielle Friolet Owner Glass Slipper Cleaning"
Bottom line, the two women who showed up did not finish the house in the time allotted hours (they didn't dust or vac the formal living room or dining room), and I refused to pay for extra time. I discussed it with the owner who said she'd come by to correct their misses (not to finish the work they didn't get to), but apparently she couldn't find time within the next few days, as I haven't heard from her again.
Bottom line, these women worked 4 hours straight but I can't figure out on what! They absolutely spent too long on certain things like the bathrooms - 1 was brand new and cleaned 2 days before, the other was a small 42 sf bath with only a shower. I believe they spent an hour each on those alone, and still didn't get under the vanity to vac the hair/retrieve dropped q-tips. The bedrooms were basic dust/vac - can't take more than 20 min each, even if there's more dust than normal. A swipe is a swipe, with a cloth or a vac. Even at that, there were a lot of misses (bases of floor lamps, heat registers, etc.).
Good job in the kitchen although not happy to hear they used lysol on the (sealed) granite, and needed my granite cleaner to do the after cleanup.
Just an overall unsatisfactory experience.
Neither my wife or I were home my mother in-law let the women in. They arrived on time and got right to work. When i arrived home the girls were just finishing up. I looked everything over and wasn't too impressed but I gave them a check anyways and we contacted Danielle to explain our dissatisfaction. She promptly had her people come back to complete the work. But even after we still noticed that they skipped cleaning the trim and baseboard behind the furniture in our bedrooms. On the website it says "3. Moving large pieces of furniture to clean behind & under. " We didn't care about the clean "under" we just wanted the trim and baseboards.
I gave Glass Slipper Cleaning a poor score for price and quality. We got other quotes for the same work for significantly less.
